Contently rehydrated though, she watched the water itself - maybe she could spot a fish, or something else? Honestly, with how hot it was, it was almost tempting to just jump right into it. ...But she at least knew not to do that. She'd already gotten some stern warnings about how dangerous that is... But as her mind wanders, she spots something move in the corner of her eye, in a quieter spot on the riverside. A little frog! Sure, it's a bit gross, but she was still mildly curious. But as Jane tried to sneak closer, she noticed something...odd.
Her hair would usually fall over her face at this point, but this time...it looked oddly short? Confused, she lifted a hand and ran her fingers through it, and that's when she realized that...it was still shortening. Forgetting about the frog already, she stumbles back a little, trying to figure out what's going on, only to trip over a rock. Falling onto her butt, she's quickly made aware of even more problems. An odd pushing sensation begins between her legs, and when she darts a hand down there to investigate, she finds something...pushing back. Letting out a gasp, something bulges out under her shorts, the sensation of it growing being...more than a bit bizarre.
"I-I need to find mo-" But before she could finish her comment, she covered her mouth! Her voice... It sounded like a boy's?! She shakes her head in some attempt at denying that possibility though, clumsily attempting to get back onto her feet. In doing so though, Jane only stumbled again - it felt like his feet were...too big for his shoes. It made it hard for him to find his footing... All the while, that weird bulge felt like it was...pulsing, almost, each time getting just a tiny bit bigger. But as her underwear began to feel almost too uncomfortable...the fabric adjusted itself?
She tried to lift her skirt to see how that was possible, but suddenly, the skirt wrapped around her thighs, forming into basically shorts instead. And right after, they grew longer down her legs. Her t-shirt began changing as well, before her eyes the sleeves extended down her arms as the whole thing turned a pure white. Her new pants, meanwhile, took on a black color. Freaked out, Jane tugged at her changed shirt, only for a row of buttons to form along the front, and the collar to tighten around her neck. "Wh-why am I wearing this now...?! It- it's like-" But her muttering is cut off as excess fabric wraps under the new hirt collar, tying itself together into a black bowtie. "...I'm dressed l-like a boy!" She finally blurted out in disbelief. And... Stumbling to the river, she was met with a boy in the reflection. ...Even her eye and hair color were different - he was essentially unrecognizable!
