Liam directed Dan’s attention onto the screen, as he brought up Dan’s menu.
“I’m looking at you man.” He chuckled. “But, if you ask me, I don’t think you should get a choice.”
“Why the fuck not?” Dan said, flipping back around.
“Look at what you did to Adam.” He said, patting the little plush. “According to this, that is all on you.” Liam was pointing to a menu, showing a series of events that occurred in the room, and when he clicked on the transformation of Adam it brought up a logic chain, all centred on Dan’s decision.
>Daniel A. spent the glassware budget on digital investments, forcing him to go to a charity shop for cheap glassware.
>Daniel A. was distracted by [This Device] in the charity shop, buying it instead.
>Daniel A. plugged [This Device] into the house’s central TV unit.
>Liam B. used [This Device] to give himself (among other things) a plushie fetish.
> [This Device] created a series of plushie-themed auto-generated transformation presets, based upon the new interests of Liam B.
>Adam S. and Daniel A fought for control of [This Device], after which Adam S. accidentally activated a preset upon himself.
“I mean, is it really all my fault? You made the presets.” Dan retorted. Liam and Siya looked on, annoyed. “Okay, how about a compromise. You blend together all of our transformation interests, create some more presets, and then I pick from the list?” Adam squeaked, shaking his little head in protest, pointing at Dan. “Fine, fine, all of YOUR fetishes, but if I get to pick none.”
“And if you pick none then you have to look after all of us.” Siya blurted. Sighing, Dan nodded, accepting his fate.
Siya looked over at the other two, who nodded, before they all started navigating the menus onto the presets. After a moment of searching, they found a function that allowed them to blend their interests via an ‘STV’ model to create the presets. These presets had to be liked by at least one of them, with none of them opposing, meaning it took a few seconds to create just the right presets. Just as Dan worried that none could be found, over seven hundred then burst onto the screen.
“Jesus.” he said, scrolling through. None leaping off the page, most being very, well, interesting. “That’s a whole lot of stuff.”
“Yeah.” Liam concurred, patting his shoulder. “But don’t worry, you can always just watch over us.”
Dan groaned, pawing through the options, very much not wanting that responsibility.
