As Nat sat with her family in the hospital, Connor and Spark were enjoying a pleasant holiday reunion.
Caleb had come home, the eldest son having finished his first semester of college. Both Connor and Spark happy to have him home, not realizing just how much they had missed him.
"Hey get up you two its time for breakfast," Caleb called. Spark groaned, the fairy stretching as she fluttered out of bed. "What time is it," she asked groggily.
"8:30," Caleb replied. "Let me guess? Up too late gaming?"
"Pretty much," Spark yawned, the fairy now transforming into a human as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Allowing her eyes to focus, the fairy turned teen now glanced around nervously before asking Caleb a question. "So were you able to get it?"
Caleb nodded, handing over the small package. Spark squealed, squeezing her partner in a tight hug. "Thank you thank you thank you," she exclaimed. "Connor is gonna flip when he sees this!"
Making their way downstairs, the Morelands now enjoyed a leisurely breakfast before opening their gifts. "Spark," Jacob groaned. "Why did you buy Charlotte a B.B gun?"
"What it's her first Christmas," she replied. "And considering how this family is its only a matter of time before she's out on the front lines hunting."
"Shes not even three months old yet Spark," Jacob exclaimed. "Shes gonna find the wrapping paper more exciting than anything we give her." The family now laughed, Spark dismissing Jacob's concerns. If the girl was going to carry her name, she would make sure she knew how to kick ass.
As the gift opening began to wrap up, Jacob and Nina sighed in contentment. Chase and Charlotte's first Christmas was a success, the infant twins obviously more interested in the wrapping paper than the gifts everyone had bought them. Daphne now carried Jim into the kitchen, the golem and immortal skull happy with their gifts as Caleb now texted Gloria. The two parents now watched Connor and Spark awkwardly approach one another with gifts in hand. "Cmon Jacob," Nina stated as she now stood. "Let them have a moment alone." Jacob nodded, following his wife into the kitchen.
Connor smiled, nervously approaching the teenage Spark with his gift. "Merry Christmas Spark," he said. "Hope you like it." Spark now tore through the paper, a squeal of joy escaping her lips. "God of Death 5" she exclaimed happily. "Thank you Connor! I've been wanting to get this game for awhile now." Connor blushed, offering a meek thank you as Spark now placed her new video game down. "Here I got you something. Hope you like it.
Connor gazed at the small gift wrapped package Spark had given him. As he carefully opened it, the teens eyes went wide in surprise. "A baseball and Mike Davis's baseball card?"
"Look closer."
Connor now took a closer look, the teens jaw dropping in astonishment at the signature on both items. "You got him to sign them!!!"
"Well I know you're a big fan of his," Spark smiled. "So I called in a favor and had him sign them for you. Hope you like them."
Connor was speechless, overjoyed at Spark getting his new favorite baseball player to sign an autograph for him. Pulling his girlfriend close, the teen now planted a passionate kiss on her, causing the fairies cheeks to blush. "Thank you Spark! Merry Christmas.!!"
"Wow yeah," Spark sighed lovingly, the teen fanning herself. "Merry Christmas." Taking a breath, Spark now tried to compose herself as her cheeks burned.
"Hey is it hot in here? I think it's hot. Can we turn down the heat or something?"
Caleb couldn't help but laugh, causing his brother and Spark to blush even redder as the trio made their way towards the kitchen.
