Suddenly, a window popped up on Georgia's laptop.
[Error: Cannot Execute. Certain alterations conflict with terms of usage and licensing. Please see highlighted text and consult Terms and Conditions.]
Georgia frowned slightly, and then her saved document opened by itself. However, where before all of the text was in black font, now some of it was in red.
3. Reality Writer Pro is installed on my phone as an app, and works just the same as the desktop version.
4. Should I lose any device, Reality Writer Pro will cease to exist on it, and automatically reinstall itself on any new device I acquire.
"'Terms and Conditions', huh?" Georgia groaned, then clicked on the "Help" button, which gave her the option to pull up the Terms and Conditions of the program. Like that of any other program, it was incredibly long-winded and in legalese. Plus it had some weird stuff too. Something about "temporal paradoxes?" "Existential threats?" "Apocalyptic events?"
Georgia sighed. It would take forever to figure out what she did wrong. Instead of reading the whole thing, she searched the page for the word "install." She figured that was as good a place to start as any.
Finally, on the 19th occurrence of the word, Georgia thought she found the answer.
Program cannot be installed on multiple devices without separate licensing keys. Installation on any device must be done manually.
"Huh, so it's stuck on my laptop? That's a pain," Georgia muttered to herself, realizing she could only install on one device, and without a digital download of the program, she couldn't transfer it to her phone, which had no disk drive. "Hmm, what if I do this instead?"
Erasing numbers 3 and 4, Georgia replaced it instead.
3. The laptop on which I have installed Reality Writer Pro can never break down, be destroyed, leave my ownership, or be accessed without my express permission.
This time the document saved, and no error code popped up. Satisfied, Georgia stretched, cracking her knuckles.
"Okay, now let's have some fun."
