It reads NOW "Whomever was curious enough to read this and know more about magic shall become part of the spiritual world a foolish mortal was senseless enough as well to desire." Kate uttered the sentence out loud but remained understandably quite dumbfounded. She was at a loss to comprehend and of course her first reflex was to ask the genie.
"What?... What does all this mean? It does not make any sense... What... Do... Do you know?" she stammered.
The genie groaned.
"Indeed I do. Any mortal reading this will be spirited to the Fay Realm. Where all creatures you humans call magical reside. Where I and my accursed lamp came from originally. I'll be sent back there along with you too. And worse, you will be sent there with no guarantee as to whether you shall stay human or not. Or even male or female."
"What!?!?" explained Kate, coming to the realisation of her predicament. "I could be really anyone?"
"Or anything," sighed the genie. "A fairy, a unicorn, a minotaur,... A genie, even, for all know... You could be sent there as a changed version of yourself or reborn or thrust into a new life as if you'd always been there. With your memories intact or not. You've become a mere toy in the hands of a magical destiny."
"But... No! My wishes! I have two remaining! I can still do something about that, right?" pleaded Kate desperately.
"Your wishes have been cancelled. There's nothing to be done about all of this now," said the genie.
As he spoke, a whirlwind of golden sparkles enveloped Kate and the lamp. It briskly blew them away to another world to face a completely new fate.
