“Welcome to Mythtopia job fair.” Said the interviewer as he sat across a table from you. “We have looked over your resume and think you will be a good fit for our company but we need to go onto the next phase of our hiring process."
“I understand.” You answer, “I will answer any questions you want.”
“Well it isn’t really any questions per say, but more of explaining how everything works, including benefits, rules and pay before we decide what you are going to become or if you had decide to not take the job.”
You nod your head as the interviewer began to go into the benefits.
The pay was massive, almost double what you could make in 10 years at your current job. The problem was that you had to sign away any rights to leave the job for five to ten years. You wouldn’t have to pay for room and board, you got free food but if you wanted more than basic food then you could order special food. Basically, on top of massive pay, you didn’t have to pay for living expenses.
“Now here are some rules.” Stated the interviewer “If you get pregnant or get someone pregnant you will be stuck in that form for the rest of your life. And before you ask, yes you can get a gender change if you want.”
“I understand.” You respond.
“now if your interested we do offer a life time hiring process which means you get extra money but you are basically our employee until you die but you also are allowed to marry and have kids with ours in the same program.” added the interviewer.
“Do people take that offer?” you ask somewhat surprise.
“Actually yes, some just want to leave humanity behind for good. We are actually in the process of setting up a town where our employees who are never becoming humans again can all live together.” Confirmed the interviewer as you nod your head.
“Now do I pick what I become?” you inquire.
“For the most part, I have a list of openings, but we are currently expanding so there are a lot to choose from.” Explained the interviewer as they pulled a folder and pushed it across the table to you.
It had a massive list of openings with different types of mythical creatures on it. Some you knew, some you didn’t.
Beside each was a column saying if they wanted males, females or both and of course beside that one was the pay rate.
“We pay more for more in demand creatures, those like mermaids and centaurs which people want to meet and of course we pay more for the more drastic changes.” Explained the interviewer “A person who becomes a Drider, that is basically a centaur but with the lower body of a giant spider will get paid more than an elf. The less human or the uglier you become in the view of the general public the more money you get because of how rare they are.”
“I understand.” You answer as you look at the list, some of the pay was mind blowing high. A dragon got paid almost a million dollars a year but they had to sign a 20 year contract instead of 10. A Centaur made more than a fairy but cost of living as a Fairy was much lower. If you became an elf you got less pay but had permission to go home to see your family on holidays because of how human they were.
“Here is a tablet to look up any information on different races and opportunities we have for you to consider.” Explained the interviewer as they pushed across a computer tablet. “I will be back to answer any questions you may have.”
“Thanks.” You answer as you pick up the tablet and begin to do research on what you may spend the next couple of years or longer as.
