Bill had been rather calm and collected throughout this entire ordeal, taking the insane changes to reality like a pro, rolling with them and being the only one among the three restored teenagers to keep a level head. But even as he told Gloria that the changes were not her fault, he could feel something hot and primal forming in his gut as he stared at the picture of his changed family. It was true the differences were subtle but there was no mistaking that Bill's mom and dad were different people. His 'dad' with different colored hair, glasses, eyes the wrong color. His 'mom' who was taller than she should have been, heavier, a more modern sense of fashion, higher cheekbones.
And then there was Kimberley's absence. Bill wandered down the hallway, his eyes roaming across the various pictures that were hanging there showing various scenes of his new parents, of Willow, of himself, of strangers that were now his grandparents. But not a single picture of Kimberly. Bill raced to the door that had led to Kimberley's bedroom, tossing it open to reveal the room of a young adult woman, tidy, modern, not at all like the almost unbearably girly room that had belonged to Kimberley. His little sister had been wiped from existence entirely. He felt numb as he stood in the doorway, staring at what was clearly Willow's room, not hearing Tammy and Gloria approaching from behind or the repeated calls from his new older sister. There was just the sound of his heart pounding in his ears until Gloria's voice sliced through the shock like a piece of glass on a chalkboard.
"This is all your fault, Tom! If you had just apologized for being an ass like you were supposed to then none of this would have happened!"
The fury that had been building in his stomach surged upwards, and Bill roared in anger, spinning around on his heel as his face contorted with rage. Gloria screamed as Tammy jumped backwards, her eyes wide.
"THIS. IS. ALL. YOUR. FAULT. YOU. STUPID. BITCH!" Bill roared into Gloria's face as he loomed over her. The formerly dominant girl seemed to shrink as she stumbled backwards into the wall.
"N-no, this, this is Tom's fau-AAHHH!" She attempted to say but was silenced once more as Bill's hand lashed out and backhanded Gloria across her pretty face. The teenage diva screamed in pain and brought both of her hands up to protect her face from any other blows.
And in her pained fear, Gloria opened her hands and the gemstone that had caused everything to go wrong in the span of just a few short minutes went flying through the air, clacking against the hallway windows and tumbling to the hard wooden floor. And Bill, in his rage, shoved Gloria up against the wall once more as his eyes locked on the stone, pushing his best friend's ex against the wall as he raced towards it, picking in up in one aggressive swipe. Green-gold light immediately began shining through the cracks in Bill's fingers as he spun around and shook his now enclosed, glowing fist at the two girls.
"I wish..."
