The party kept running until the town was in the distance, then began setting up camp. The woman without memories hid nearby, watching them and hoping that some other memories would trigger. Nothing did, and she had waited too long. The halfling woman looked up, and noticed her.
“Is that you, Elise?” the halfling asked “Why are you hiding? Come and sit by the fire so you can warm up.”
The woman slowly approached and sat down. The name was unfamiliar to her, but as she sat down next to the fire, an image of a similar scene flashed into her mind for a moment of sitting beside a similar party and enjoying a meal.
“We’ll have dinner soon,” the halfling said “But did you find what you were looking for?”
The woman stared blankly at the halfling “I, um, I don’t remember anything.”
