Marco was uneasy about taking orders from a teenage girl. He insisted on ringing Selena and was surprised when the woman said to obey Ruby. He had actually been impressed by Ruby's behaviour. She hadn't at all acted as the bimbo she appeared to be. He appreciated how she hadn't succumbed to that FBI agent who even he thought had been quite intimidating. Other than been scared shitless when the police had pulled guns on them in the park she had pretty much behaved like an adult. Perhaps Ruby had a future in the organisation? Even though she had no Russian heritage, being Selena's daughter she was one of the family.
He decided to let Ruby know how to lose a tail. He had immediately spotted the unmarked car that had followed them from the police station. They must think Ruby or himself knew where the missing briefcase was or perhaps where Nikola was hiding. "Don't turn around Ruby, but we are being tailed. There is a white sedan about 4 cars back. No doubt it's the police or FBI. They seem really keen to find your Papa"
"What should we do?"
"We'll put them on a wild goose chase. Keep them interested. Make them think we are going somewhere and lead them away from where we want to go to"
"So how do you do that?"
"Let me ring Alexei. We will need his help"
He rang on his phone "Alexei, We need your help. I have a tail"
"I have my own tail"
"Get a girl a girl that looks anything like Ruby. Send her and one of the men to the Marina where we have our cruiser. We'll get her and Ruby to swap clothes then she can lead the FBI up the coast. Or maybe the Bahamas. Do you have a girl and one of the guys who have earned a holiday?"
"I have a couple in mind. They will meet you there in 45 minutes"

Kurt was impressed by how easily the Russian fooled the FBI.
She met a Russian woman called Ana in the ladies in the Marina. Ana removed her hat to reveal blonde hair similar to her own. Ana recognised her somehow and they exchanged clothes. Once Kurt was dressed in the white dress, hat and sunglasses that Ana had been wearing she was told to wait a minute then find a red Toyota in the carpark.
Ana walked out of the toilets in the backless dress and shoes that Kurt had been wearing.
Kurt waited a minute then calmly walked out to the carpark. He spotted a red toyota and found Marco also in a changed outfit waiting for her. As they drove off he pointed out a large boat pulling out of the marina. "The cops will follow that boat for a day. They will be led on a merry chase.
