After a while, “Milo” gets an idea: his master has always been a silly and dumb human, but he, Milo, is much better and smarter than his master. Thinking about his situation, and comparing it to his master, “Milo” can’t help but start to smile, and his butt starts to sway back and fourth, “the more I think about it,” “Milo” mumbles to himself, “the more I think about it, the more I start to actually enjoy being a human! I’m better than any dumb human, because I know both lives, I feel so super smart!”
If he could teach his master everything a dog knows, then that would make his master smarter too! “Milo” nods, he could give his master some knowledge about how dogs behave, their instincts and basic commands. When ever “Milo” thinks his master is doing something wrong, he’d correct him, teach him how to act properly. Then master wouldn’t need to ask such dumb questions and “Milo” wouldn’t need to answer them, he could concentrate on more important things, like… mating, playing, sniffing, marking his territory.
“Milo” grabs his phone, which he of course does not recognize thanks to Ethan’s programming, and opens the boy’s file and starts to edit:
Name: Ethan
Basic dog instincts: yes
Basic dog behavior: yes
Knowledge of basic dog commands: yes
Satisfied, “Milo” confirms the changes, he then remembers his master Bryan, it would be better to have him be unaware of what is going on. “Milo” quickly opens Bryan’s file and edits it so that the 6 year-old won’t notice his brother acting weird, or at least would not question it. “Milo” puts the phone back on the counter where he had found it, “hope master won’t notice anything,” he mumbles to himself, “Milo” then suddenly hears a gasp behind him, he turns around quickly, fear in his eyes when he notices Bryan standing behind him.
“Je… Jeff,” the 6 year-old says, “wh-why are you n-nakey?”
“Um…,” “Milo” tries to come up with a good lie, “I… um… I spilled a drink over myself… s-so my clothes need to be washed,” he hopes that Bryan buys the lie. “His” clothes were still lying on the floor of the living room, but Bryan entered from the other side.
“I see…,” the young boy says, “s-sorry Jeff… I feel a little awkward… seeing an older boy naked”.
“S-sorry… pl-please don’t tell your parents,” “Milo” says.
“I won’t,” Bryan says, “I don’t want you to get into trouble and not be aloud back… that’ll suck, because I really like you. You are a cool guy!”
“Um… th-thanks,” “Milo” says, trying his best to “stay in character”, after all, if he is a copy of the neighbor, he should at least try and act normal.
“Soooo… when are we going to start the movie,” the boy asks, “and did you order the Pizza?”
“Milo” is about to reply when the voice of his master calls out, “right now. Bryan, please get the movie ready, the Pizza should be arriving soon!”
“Okay, bro,” Bryan says and hurries into the living room.
“Milo” is about to run after the boy, afraid that Bryan might spot the clothes, but before he can make a step he feels a small hand grab him, “everything alright, Milo,” Ethan asks.
“M-my… I mean the clothes… Bryan…,” “Milo” stammers.
Ethan smiles, “don’t worry,” he says, “I hid the clothes in my room”.
“Milo” relaxes, he smiles, “thank god,” he says, “so… what about the Pizza?”
Ethan grins, he pulls out his phone and scans three plates, soon three steaming Pizza are lying on the counter. The 12 year-old grabs three plates and lies the Pizza on them, “time to get the Movie started,” and with that they both head into the living room.
