Stacy's vows and other loose ends

added by Anonymous 2 months ago O

The priest placed a hand on Stacy’s shoulders. "Do you proclaim yourself an angel?"
"I do," she responds.
"Do you give your allegiance to the Kingdom of Heaven?"
"Yes."
"Do you accept Jehovah as your lord?"
"Yes."
"Do you renounce all other masters?"
"So long as do not go against nature," Stacy answering flatly; this raised an eybrow from the priest was otherwise an acceptable answer.
"Do you henceforth give yourself over to the worship cosmic creation?"
"As it is the driving force of nature, then yes;" Stacy giving her answer.
"Then I welcome you to the Kingdom of Heaven and bestow upon you the name Gia, the priest said; “A fitting name for one who protects and fights for nature. You are now officially and angel.”

Sitting in his office within the ninth circle of hell, Lord Nergal Deathfire looks at his trusted agents with disdain. He did not like the fact that they want to be reassigned from guarding Heka and Qessem at their cave within the second circle. A task they were ordered to perform after Jahi managed to fight her way out before the foul witches could complete the ritual on her.
“Toss us into the lake of fire if you want,” on demon pleading; “we want no part in what those two are doing.”
“Heka and Qessem are doing our masters bidding,” Nergal looking at the two agents with an unamused expression; “they are building an army to break through the gates of heaven and claim the throne of Jehovah.” Nergal lied with that last part. ‘No need to tell them the truth,’ Nergal thought.
“And just who is our master,” the demon agent asking; “with Beelzebub dead and Adrammelech in hiding, all that leaves is you.”

“If you are refusing your assignment,” Nergal sighs; “then you can head here.” Nergal opening a portal; “our master is here. He will give you further instructions.”
“So long as it’s not what those witches are up to,” one agent commenting; “it’s one thing to enslave an adult. It’s another to butcher a youngling.”
“Or one that has yet to be born,” the second demon shuddering; “some magic’s are best left not messed with.”

Both walk through the portal and Nergal immediately closes it. He open another portal to see Beelzebub.
“I have two agents heading your way,” Nergal nodding to Beelzebub; “they need to be dealt with as they refuse to assist Heka and Qessem.”
“And why send them here,” Beelzebub looking unamused; “why not just slit their throats to ensure their silence.”
“Because they would be more useful tools,” Nergal eliciting a sly smile; “if they are like Adrammelech.”
“I already have a chaos shade,” Beelzebub glaring.
“Doesn’t hurt to have a few spares,” Nergal responding; “as an insurance policy.”
“You presume too much Nergal,” Beelzebub snapping back before pondering Nergal’s words; “still it’s not a bad ideal. And it could solve the issue with ensuring Heka and Qessem no longer have their guests escape with chaos shades providing sentry.”
“Then you approve of my suggestion,” Nergal bowing.
“It’s not as if I have a choice,” Beelzebub grumbling; “Loki’s blood failed to create a new ward to allow me access to chaos energy which means those two need to be allowed to continue their work in secret.”
“Then I would advise that they stop abducting members of the Morningstar clan,” Nergal commenting; “already Lucifer suspects something and has Enoch looking into it. I could not stop him and after the purposely planned failed assassination with the Iron Knights,” Nergal sighing; “Lucifer is even more determined to root out what is going on. I do not have the gift you had,” Nergal sounding contrite; “the ability to whisper honeyed words into his ear.”
“Ha,” Beelzebub grinning; “you speak the truth on that; “very well, I’ll advise Heka and Qessem to refrain from absconding more of the Morningstar clan. We do have other sources to draw upon.”

Nergal watched as the communication portal closed; sighing he gets up to leave his office before pausing to collect a charred document he discovered in Lucifer’s study.
“Proposition 13666 by Princess Lamashtu Morningstar,” Nergal chuckling; “to think all those times I called you a half breed. And you come up with a proposal that the hardliners could not resist. I’ll just make certain Laz has a good read and help her make a few adjustments. Adjustments that will give this proposal the teeth it deserves.”
Nergal smiles as he opens a portal to his estate; confident that things are looking up for a change.

The lone shadow in Nergal’s office waited for the demon to leave before moving. Using magic to revert to her form; that of an demon with the wings, legs and talons of an eagle and the head of a Egyptian Mau cat. Upon her leather arm bracers was the crest of Loki Morningstar; she was hoping to report to Nergal over the collapse of Loki’s spy network. However she was mortified to see the head of the secret police and most recently promoted to Grand Chancellor; speaking to a demon that was clearly declared dead.
“I need to warn Lucifer and Enoch,” as she ponders how to head to the lord of hell; after the failed assassination plot, the palace has been placed under high alert. All the guards were on hyper alert and were placed those loyal to Nergal himself. She was able to slip in before the doubling of the guard and managed to slip into the office at the last possible moment.

“If I can’t get to Lucifer,” the cat eagle demon looking at the window; “then perhaps I can make a quick flight to the Grand Chamberlain’s office. I only hope Enoch is there,” she opens the window and steps onto the lintel. Looking in every direction she is about to take flight when she spots Pazuzu sneaking out; sighing as she wasn’t spotted, she makes a beeline to Enoch’s office window.
“Don’t be locked,” she mutters as she hovers above the window. “yes,” she grins as she window opens silently and she darts in; just as Qessem and Heka abduct Pazuzu. Closing the window behind her, she quickly checks the door to make sure no one is on the other side. Confident that she has still remained undetected the demon heads to Enoch’s desk. Grabbing a pen and a piece of paper, she quickly jots down a nonsensical phrase that only Enoch or any other Morningstar would understand. It was a code phrase that signaled an emergency.

‘Baldur’s beard is burnt off. The cakes have collapsed. Mary's goats were stolen.’
Placing it on Enoch’s desk, she mutters a quick phrase to see it fall into a small portal that formed below the note. Sighing in relief, the cat-eagle demon locks the door and crashes on the nearby coach.
“By the darkness,” the last remaining agent of Loki’s spies prays; “please get that message to Enoch in time.”
