“Well that was a bit of a disaster. I feel for you” Angus Henshaw addressed Sam Colson
“Yeah. It’s not quite the evening I had planned” Sam admitted. It wasn't. He was a man temporarily occupying a young woman's body, thanks to magical manipulations of his colleauge Jordan. Angus was a prospective client.
“I don’t mean to pry Samantha, but I notice you don’t wear a ring. Can I take it that you are single?”
Sam didn’t know how to reply. After a moments thought he replied. “This is a business meeting Mr Henshaw. My private life shall remain exactly that private!”
Angus flushed “I apologise for my impertinent question. I am just a bit flummoxed sitting with such a beautiful woman”
Sam realsied he had been a bit rude. There was nothing untoward in what Angus had asked. “Apology accepted” then after an awkward pause continued “Sorry I’m just a bit touchy at the moment. I didn’t mean to snap. Someone who I really liked and had imagined I had a future with has disappointed me” He was of course referring to Jordan who had put him into this awkward situation.
“Oh! I see. I understand” Angus assumed the pretty blonde had just gone through a break-up. As far as he was concerned this was perfect. The girl was a stunner.
Jordan returned. Quicker than Sam had expected. She carried a red garment. She passed it to Sam. “Go and put this on”
Sam hurriedly went to the ladies holding the material in front of his stained groin.
It was a maroon skirt. Sam had no choice but to put it on. He tried to then wash out the stain on the pants under the sink. He just made it worse. They could be the waiter’s problem. He returned to Jordan and Angus with the maroon skirt hugging his hips. The waiter accepted the stained pants and asked for their room number.
Jordan informed him “We’ve decided to go across the road to the mall. Angus says there is a very nice coffee shop where we can get a night cap”
It seemed the bill had already been fixed. Sam said “I’m thinking of cutting my losses and calling it a night”
Angus would not hear of that. “Oh no. This is my chance to show you around town. And we wouldn’t want Jordan’s boyfriend having the wrong impression. We need you as a chaperone”
Sam tried to think of another excuse “But I’m wearing Jordan’s skirt, It doesn’t match”
“You look fantastic Samantha. Very elegant” replied Angus
“I’m just not sure…..”
"Do you mind if we have a word in private?” Jordan was addressing Angus.
“Go ahead. I’ll wait here”
Sam found himself dragged off, once more to the ladies toilet.
Once inside Jordan addressed him “Of course you’re coming out. We’ve got him cold. Have you seen the way he is looking at you. He’s love struck and if we had the paperwork he would sign up tonight. The presentation tomorrow will be a formality. He already knows what our software offers. He would not have invited us out here if he wasn’t impressed. He just wants to know the support package that it comes with”
“I don’t want him to be love struck. I’m a man for God’s sake!”
“Look in the mirror Samantha. You’re a blonde bombshell. Humour him tonight, flirt a little and he will be putty in our hands tomorrow. Think of the bonus!”
Sam did look in the mirror. The girl certainly was a blonde bombshell. The skirt she was wearing went well with the top and accentuated her magnificent figure. Sam knew Jordan was right about the likelihood of getting the signature if they played their cards right. He would be in line for a 5 figure bonus, plus the prospect of ongoing commissions. Now that Angus had met Sam in the (female) flesh there was no longer any chance of a male Sam Colson showing up in the morning to do the presentation. “You’ve really got me in a corner Jordan. You will owe me”
“Good” replied Jordan with that smirk once more on her face. “Before we return though let me fix your make-up”
