Jackie pulled up her car to Ann's house and aged herself up into an adult before getting out of the car, though technically speaking it was her house as well and she did plan on moving in after she completed school. She was in her adult form, that she took whenever she was near Ann's house as while she did it for Ann, she also did it for Stephanie to act like the parent she wanted to be for Stephanie just like Ann. She opened the front door with her house key and saw Ann coming around the corner.
"Jackie, glad to see you're..." Ann began to say before she leaped into Ann's arms and began to kiss her passionately on the lips.
"Oh, Ann, my sweet angel Ann, I was so worried about you. Are you okay? Was it scary for you? Did you get rid of those apples? Are you going to be okay?" Jackie asked.
"Darling, I'm fine...and...we have company right now." Ann said referring to Pam and Stella who were sitting on the couch.
"Oh....uh....hi. Sorry for the romantic outburst. I'm Jackie, I'm Ann's partner." Jackie introduced herself as Pam and Stella both waved to be polite.
"Mom, did I hear....?" Stephanie said as she came out of her room to be hugged by Jackie. "Steph, are you okay sweetie? You're not hurt are you, I heard you got into a fight. Oh, I knew we should have waited until you were ready for that armor. What about Travis? Are you and him alright? He hasn't hurt your feelings again, has he baby?" Jackie said almost all at once giving her daughter a hug.
"Uh....mom, mom, I'm alright. Travis and I are good, he was like my knight in shining armor protecting me. Me and him are on very good terms and even have a little date with friends." Stephanie said.
"Oh, thank goodness. It's such a relief to hear you both are doing well. You know when I'm not here, I do worry about you. I know you can take care of yourself Ann, but you're still new to the world of magic Steph. I really wasn't sure if Ann and I were doing the right thing introducing you to all of this madness it can bring." Jackie said.
"Come on, Jackie, it's alright. Besides, if you two hadn't done this...I probably wouldn't have met my friends, I might not have met Travis. I owe you two all of this and more." Stephanie said.
"We know Stephanie, and we're just happy when you're happy." Ann said as she held Jackie's hand.
"Great. I'm just going to go finish getting ready." Stephanie said as she was about to go into her room but stopped.
"Actually, can you two....go sit on the kitchen table? I wanted to ask you two something first. Just give me a second." Stephanie said as Ann and Jackie looked at each other confused and shrugged but then went to go sit at the kitchen table. Stephanie came back only a minute later holding something behind her back.
"Ann, I've been really grateful for these last couple of years of living with you and you getting me through some tough times. My parents, moving, school, friends. Jackie, I actually wasn't sure if you would really be a good adult figure in my life, but even with your...situation with Ann, I've come to see you as a good role model and someone who'll be there for me just like Ann can. Also, I know your birthday is next week and you won't be here with us to celebrate it. So I thought about what kind of gift to get you and thought of only one thing. So....can you two sign this for me?" Stephanie asked as she placed a paper on the table in front of them.
"Stephanie, what... what are these...." Jackie asked as she read over them before she began tearing up at what they were.
"Will....will you two...sign this so I can change my name? I...I want to be Stephanie O'Toole-Kirkman, for real." Stephanie asked as Ann and Jackie began to tear up and cry then gave Stephanie a hug and couldn't stop crying.
