The White Rabbit ran down some hallways of various sizes, oblivious to the angry girl chasing after him. Alice was hellbent on getting the remote back from him, as it was her only hope of going home.
"HEY, RABBIT! GET BACK HERE WITH MY REMOTE!" Alice shouted.
But The White Rabbit seemingly ignored her as he continued his run, muttering how late he was.
Suddenly, The White Rabbit made a sharp right turn down a dark tunnel. Alice tries to stop, nearly losing her balance and falling forwards. But she recovered and quickly continued her pursuit. Now even further away from The White Rabbit, Alice once again calls out to him.
"HEY, WAIT! {blinks a few times} OH MR. RABBIT! PLEASE WAIT SIR!"
The White Rabbit continued on and into the bright light at the end of the tunnel, with Alice not far behind. When Alice exists the tunnel, she finds herself in a very large dark red room with a black and white tiled covered floor. The walls were lined with colored doors of varying shapes and sizes. However, The White Rabbit was nowhere in sight. Frustrated, Alice cursed to herself for somehow losing him.
"Damn, where is he? He couldn't have gotten far."
Looking around the room, Alice discovers that the tunnel she had come out of was now gone, replaced by two separate doors. Alice closes her hands into fists and places them on her waist before declaring:
"Well, curiouser and curiouser indeed."
At that moment, Alice felt her head buzzing, making her feel slightly dizzy. The feeling quickly subsided, and Alice regained her senses.
"Okay, that was... Peculiar?"
Alice knew that she felt different but couldn't figure out how. So, she ignored it and continued scanning the room, unaware that she was now holding her hands by her fingers in front of her waist.
"I should look for the way out."
Alice began checking each door to see if they were unlocked, running over to each one in a lady-like manner. Unfortunately for her, each door she tried was locked. She also found a foot high pink hidden behind a red curtain. Alice got onto her hands and knees to examine the tiny door, concluding that she was much too big for it.
"Even if my head got through, it would be useless without the rest of me."
Picking herself back up, Alice turned around and was shocked to find a small glass table, with a small 'DRINK ME' bottle and a tiny gold key, in the middle of the room.
"Where'd that come from? {blinks a few times} Oh right, this is Wonderland. Duh."
Alice walked over to the table and delicately picked up both items. Examining them, Alice suddenly remembered this particular part of the story and knew what to do.
"Alright, I'm not gonna make the same mistake the other Alice did. Here goes nothing."
Still holding the key, Alice uncorked the bottle and took a small sip, finding it to her liking.
"Wow, this is great. Sort of a cherry tart, custard, pineapple, roast turkey, toffee and hot buttered toast kind of taste. {blinks a few times} Wait, how would I even know what all those things like together? Hmm. {looks around the room} And shouldn't I have gotten smaller by now?"
And indeed, Alice realized that she was still the same height as always, much to her confusion.
"That's strange. I don't seem to have shrunk at all. Did I miss something? Hmm, {looks at bottle in hand} maybe I need to drink the rest of it to fully shrink."
With no other options, Alice drank the rest of the bottle's contents, once again enjoying its many flavors. But after a minute of waiting, Alice still hadn't gotten any smaller.
"Why isn't it working? Did I miss something?"
Alice decided to do a more thorough examination of the bottle, hoping to find some clue to her problem. However, as she conducts her search, Alice unintentionally places the key back onto the table.
"Hmm, there's nothing else written on this tag. Maybe I got the story wrong-"
*WHOOOSH*
"WOAH!"
In an instant, Alice shrank down to only a few inches high. The small bottle she was carrying had become massive in her hands, causing Alice to drop it while falling over backwards. The bottle's tag then gently floated down on top of Alice and completely covering her. With some effort, Alice was able to get the tag off and get back on her feet. Alice then looked around and became overwhelmed at how large the room had become.
"Wow ... Ow ... Oh ... Oh My ... OH MY GOODNESS! I'm so small now. So helpless and fragile down here. I'm lucky I didn't go out altogether. Just like a ... candle?"
Alice shook her head and came back to her senses.
"What's happening to me? I know I don't usually talk or act like this. It's like ever since coming here, I been turning into-"
It was then that Alice saw the key that she had left on the table and began to panic.
"OH CRAP, THE KEY! WHY WOULD I PUT THAT THING BACK UP THERE! GODDAMNIT! SON OF A BITCH!"
Alice began jumping up after it, despite how tiny she'd become. This of course proved futile, so Alice just gave up. Folding her legs into a sitting position with her skirt spread out, Alice sat still and stared at the now out-of-reach key.
"Oh dear. What have I done?"
