Daring Space Bountyhunter Stands Against the Ultimate Challenge!

added by Wert 29 days ago BM I S TG

As the statues came to life, they started doing ninja flips all over the place and screaming as they spewed hot death at you. It was pretty clear they were moving too fast for your missiles or fireballs to be much good, but you took this mission because you knew there wasn't anything in the galaxy you couldn't take down in a straight-up fight. Having to deal with giant breasts doing their best to flop out of an impractical swimsuit as you dodged and rolled, and having to feel yourself up to properly charge up your blasts made things a bit spicier, but in the end, you came out on top.

Kicking down the next door you came to, there he was. The head honcho of this whole gang of space gangsters. The guy you'd left for dead, years ago now, on another planet full of caves and weird little critters. For all you knew, it might have even been this one actually, they did tend to blend together after a while, and it would explain why he was standing here, alive and well. Alternatively, the fact that he was some sort of weird space dragon might explain that. He was a real tough bastard with anatomy that didn't make a lot of sense to you, so maybe you did miss the important bits when you'd last gunned him down. Anyway, you shouted, "It's over! I'm here for the creature you abducted!" You were going to add something more personal, and maybe work in a good one-liner, but the space dragon's name kinda slipped your mind in the moment, and you were suddenly aware of how high pitched and bubbly your voice was in your current form. Plus he'd probably have some gross sexist retort or something. So instead you just immediately brought out the rocket boobs and the fireballs and everything else you could think of to start laying into him.

It was a real long hard fight. You ran out of ammo for everything real effective, and he just kept on coming. At one point he swooped down and grabbed you, taking to the air and circling around the cave, biting you and smacking you with his weird barbed tail as he alternated between trying to crush you with his bare hands and fondling you because apparently he was amused by the look on your face. Meanwhile you just kept your gun pressed to his chest, firing away at point blank until he dropped out of the sky, and you were able to roll out of his grip.

Before you finished him off (at least, you really, really hoped you finally finished him off this time), you interrogated him on where the alien was. Guy loved to talk way too much, but long story short, it was kept in the central ops room, under incredibly tight security. You'd need keys from all the higher ups, which you had now, and the critter should be in a cell close to where the real brains of this operation was stashed away. Well, the brain anyway. See there'd been this one space gangster years back, real criminal genius, but he had this medical condition where his brain kept swelling. It would have killed him if his gang hadn't taken some real radical action. They'd just yanked his brain out of his head, put it in one of those healing tank deals, wired it up to a bunch of computers so he could still make plans and such. His brain still kept right on growing of course, so every few years they needed to build a bigger tank. At this point he needed a whole big industrial complex just to support it. Seemed pretty miserable for everyone involved.

Anyway, according to the space dragon you're pretty sure was laying things out with his dying breaths, they'd successfully cloned the critter you were here for, and had a containment breach. So presumably, to get the original specimen you were going to have to fight through a bunch more of the things, and probably fend off a bunch of breathy bimbos who used to be whoever they'd brought in to do the science stuff. While you were there though you could at least deal with the brain in the jar, that'd likely buy you some nice peace and quiet for a while.

You interrogated the dragon a bit more until you knew exactly where to go. From the sound of it, security was tight enough that once you were in, you'd probably need to blow your way out a different way than you were heading in, and hoof it back to your ship. Might be kind of a gauntlet. So aside from patching yourself up and restocking on ammo (or to be blunt about it, stuffing new missiles into your chest and eating a bunch of bugs), this was your last chance if you were going to search the rest of this installation for more supplies before the final leg of the mission.
