"Kara will do for now, I suppose," Ty said, as he looked down at his body "When will the changes start?"
"Once you return to your body," N'Karait replied "This is your mindscape. Your form will always match what you view yourself as on the inside while you're in here."
Ty nodded. "I guess we should start," he said
"It will hurt," N'Karait warned "It takes a different amount of time for each person, but the chains should respond to you now."
Ty's eyes opened. He was sitting in the same position, with his hands still on the chains. He didn't feel any pain at all, but he could feel every chain that was holding a prisoner in the cage. Exerting his will, every chain broke at once, then wrapped around the bars at the back of the wagon, destroying the bars. Once the chains had done their job, they wrapped around his torso, turning into a breastplate.
"Move," Ty said, taking some authority since the rest of the slaves weren't moving fast enough. The two goblins at the front of the wagon turned, drawing nasty looking wands from their belts. As the slaves ran, Ty stayed at the back, and as the first goblin fired a beam from the wand, he brought up his arm, and it deflected off his vambraces and into a tree, which seemed to start growing a pair of breasts, but Ty didn't stick around long enough to watch to see if more happened to the tree. He kept the former slaves moving into the trees where the goblins would be less able to hit them with the rays from their wands. Even disoriented, the group outpaced the goblins into the woods. It was Ty and four others as they sat down to rest in a forest clearing.
