When night falls Cyrus, who is now a 14-year-old young anthro Coyote-boy, heads towards the nearest town. Cyrus has no problem finding a phone-store, having visited the town many times to find food.
Sticking to the shadows and using his animalistic experience and skills, Cyrus manages to remain unseen. When the young anthro comes across a huge dumpster he can’t help but grimace and feel disgusted, ‘I can’t believe that I rummaged through dumpsters and bins in search for food,’ he thinks to himself, ‘I guess back when I was a simple… normal animal… who really didn’t think rational… I didn’t care. If I had human intelligence back then as I do now, I’d NEVER would have done such things, but… hunting is so hard, especially in winter, so I guess I had no other choice. But now, with my hands and new and improved appearance, my life will be so much easier, especially AFTER I get my hands on a phone and have installed the App!’
Cyrus soon find the store and waits just behind the back entrance, when the last employee finally leaves, the young anthro quickly and without being noticed moves a small pebble between the door and door frame, which prevents the door from shutting completely.
Once no one is in sight, Cyrus sneaks in, the sneaky Coyote sticks to the shadows, avoiding the cameras and makes his way to a display case. Cyrus opens the case and grabs a phone, then heads towards the exit, soon the anthro is back in his forest and once he’s back at his den, he sets HIS phone up and downloads and installs the App.
Cyrus grins, wagging his tail, as he stares down at his phone, watching the App install, “I can’t WAIT to scan Jeff and his friend,” he says to himself, “hehe… oh, this’ll be so much fun!”
The next morning Cyrus heads to the spot where he and Jeff met the day before, the Coyote gets down on all fours and sniffs the tree. He then grins when he smells Jeff’s scent, ‘hehe, no hiding from me,’ he thinks to himself and starts following the scent.
Soon Cyrus finds the camp, he hides behind some thick brush and peers through the branches, he smiles when he spots Jeff sitting at a table with another boy, ‘that must be Dean,’ Cyrus thinks to himself. Cyrus holds up his phone and aims it at the two boys, activating the scanner, his phone “pings” and the two boys are scanned. The Coyote-boy smirks evilly down at the two files, ‘now, you and your friend are MINE,’ he thinks to himself, he then decides to do a little test.
Cyrus grins, ‘let’s give Dean a tail of a white-tailed deer,’ he thinks to himself, ‘I’ll also leave his awareness off and make everyone think he had always a tail’. After confirming the change, Cyrus watches and notices Dean shiver a little and look a little confused, but the teen simply shrugs. The next thing Cyrus notices is the boy absentmindedly scratching the area just above his bum and grins, ‘looks like it works,’ he thinks to himself, ‘now, what should I do with Jeff?’
