The hands belong to Alfonso Mendes, a 10-year-old boy with an athletic body, which he’s really proud of, Alfonso does a lot of sports, especially parcour, he’s got a nice olive skin tone, brown eyes and short brown hair.
Alfonso is staring down at the Raygun he had just found, his eyes wide and his mouth hanging open in awe as he holds the gun like something valuable.
“This looks exactly like those Rayguns from some science fiction movie,” he says to himself, “but it’s to well done to be some kind of movie prop or toy. It looks like the real deal!”
Alfonso is stunned, turning the gun around in his hands, “this thing is so clean and it doesn’t have a single scratch on it,” the boy continues, “why would someone throw away something that is not damaged? Oh well, their loss is my gain! I can’t wait to examine this thing more closely back home! Deciding to come to the dump today was the best idea I had in a long time,” he grins as he stuffs the Raygun into his backpack and sneaks back out of the dump and heading back home.
When Alfonso returns home he heads straight for his room and locks the door, before taking the gun out of his backpack and jumping on to his bed, “now to examine my prize more closely,” he mumbles, grinning to himself as he holds the medium sized gun in his hands.
Alfonso is surprised at how light the gun feels, “it looks heavier than it is,” he says, looking at the back end of the gun, the boy notices a screen which is blank, below the screen he sees six buttons: four shaped like arrows for “up”, “down”, “left” and “right” with a big green button in the middle which has the word “okay” written across it, bellow the “down” arrow is a small red button which says “on/off” and a gray button right next to it which says “revert”.
The 10-year-old tilts his head, “looks like I could choose something out of some options using the arrows, then select an option with the green button,” he mumbles, “and the red button seems to be the power switch. Let’s see if this thing works”.
Alfonso presses the red button and his eyes widen when the screen comes to life, now displaying the words, “Transformation Raygun”.
“Transformation Raygun,” Alfonso asks with a raised eyebrow, “soooo… a gun that is able to… what… transform itself… or… transform SOMEONE?”
Using the arrow buttons, Alfonso skips through the options until he the word “manual” appears on the screen, clicking the green button, Alfonso opens the manual and starts to read.
After reading the manual, the boy feels even more stunned, “this surely can’t be real,” he mumbles, “I mean… transforming a human into an animal, changing the gender, transforming someone into an object… or transforming even objects and animals into humans and other stuff… this is something you see in some kind of alien movie!”
The boy looks sceptical at the gun, but being curious by nature and wanting to know if it actually would work, Alfonso feels his heart start to beat faster in his chest, ‘thinking about the possibilities kind of make me excited,’ he thinks to himself, ‘I mean… IF this thing really is able to transform anyone and anything… I could have so much fun with this!’
Alfonso decides to do a small test, ‘should I test it on myself,’ he asks, ‘nah… I’d rather not, what if something goes wrong? Hm… but what should I use for a test? I could use my lazy older brother Miguel? I could use it on a squirrel or some other animal? I could call a friend or two… hm…”.
