While everyone was distracted by Sasha's messaging, Josh once again brought himself into the transformation void, this time finding himself in Andrew's tiger body, and thankfully in full control of it here in the void. He took a few minutes to enjoy having it to himself, curling the toes on his forepaws, and swishing his tail -- he especially loved the feeling of the muscles in his rear as he controlled it. Eventually, he'll want to enjoy having control of a body like this outside the void. But that comes later. First thing's first: the situation with Yuki being separated from her friends has given Josh the perfect opportunity to put his next plan into action.
Before him was the merged profile of himself and Andrew. He pawed at it to undo the merge, separating them into Andrew the white tiger and Josh the... rubber mouse. Thankfully, his form in the void didn't immediately revert into that. Though that did make him wonder. "Computer, would I wind up back in the hotel room if we unmerge?"
"By default, individuals unmerge next to each other. However, individuals may be relocated to avoid contraditictions in reality changes. Because you were an inanimate object last seen in your hotel room, you would be relocated there."
Curiosity satisfied, he wondered if he should change himself back to normal, now. But with the changes he was planning, it seemed unecessary. He instead closed Andrew's profile, and then opened Yuki's. Now that Andrew's friends were registered in the hotel, Josh had free reign to change them.
While being a passenger within Andrew's body had indeed allowed him to get close to Andrew's friends without them realizing, the complete lack of control was too much of a hindrance. But taking control of Andrew would lead to another issue: he didn't know Andrew's friends very well. They would get suspicious if Josh couldn't follow any of their conversations. One solution would be to merge his mind with Andrew's, but he wasn't sure if he was ready to try that on himself.
However, Yuki opened a window of opportunity. She was a shy girl. If Josh became her, all he'd have to do is sit quiet and nod his head when talked to. And any awkward moments could easily be explained away with that shyness.
It was just a question of what to do with Yuki. The obvious answer is to merge with her, with Yuki becoming a passenger in her own body. And if Josh opened up mental communication, Yuki could feed him any information he might need. Alternatively, they could share control of her body. A little tweak to her submissiveness would ensure that she wouldn't spill the beans to her friends. However, in either case, he wasn't sure he wanted anyone but Andrew to know about his VIP powers.
There was an "awareness" feature he'd been ignoring up to this point, though. He could make her think that sharing a body with someone was perfectly normal. And as he considered that option, he began to think of other ways to take advantage of it.
There was that feature Josh learned about earlier -- he could place Yuki's mind into a part of her body. It was already going to be interesting enough walking around as a female, but it would be all the more fun if he did so with Yuki residing in her own foot... or even a more intimate location. All the while, she could think it's normal to be a body part.
Then Josh remembered there's a loose end that needs to be tied up: his absense. If he swapped his and Yuki's profiles, he could become Yuki while she became him. A little awareness change, and Yuki would actually think she was him, playing the part perfectly. The question there would be whether to change Yuki into his human self, or into the rubber mouse that he had been.
