Jenn had her hand placed up against the mirror which hung on wall. The strangest thing was that instead of herself looking back at her, it seemed to be a mermaid version of herself looking at her through the glass.
While Jenn had her hand up against the mirror, she heard the door to the dorm room opened.
“Jenn, we are going to get something to eat, what to join us?” Said her roommate Kelly as she walked into the room along with someone else, maybe more then one other person.
Jenn didn’t have time to answer as the glass which was strangely warm instead of cool became cool again for a second.
Then with a rush the mirror gave way to a torrent of water which instantly flooded the small dorm room, there wasn’t even time for Jenn, Kelly or whoever else was in the room with them to scream.
The water was salty and tasted like the ocean because it was ocean water. Then with almost as much force as it had come in with the water began to go out. This time through the mirror which had wrapped outwards into an oval shape large enough for a person to go through.
Jenn was the closest and was the first pulled through, her body spinning around in the water, she could see sunlight coming from above her maybe 10 or so feet up and a sandy bottom about the same distance away. As she spun, she saw Kelly come through the mirror followed by someone else and possible more people but the spinning was pulling her away from the portal.
On the outside, once all the humans were pulled in, along with most of the water. The mirror fell to the floor, breaking apart into a million pieces. Within seconds all the water had disappeared leaving no signs of itself. The paper in the room where not even wet.
The only sign of what had just happened was the broken mirror with glass all over the floor and the fact that those people within the room were no longer there.
Jenn had finally stopped spinning as she slammed into the sandy bottom of the ocean floor. For a second she just lied on the ocean floor before she realized that her lungs where on fire as she needed air. She kicked off the sandy bottom and within seconds her head broke the surface and she took in a deep breath of air.
She looked around stunned, before her eyes looked to be an almost dead match to her poster. Multiple lush tropical beaches and sand barbs where all around. She could see coral reefs nearby and the water was perfectly clear.
If she hadn’t just been transported to this place from her dorm room then it would have been a perfect vacation spot.
“WHAT THE FUCK!” yelled Kelly nearby as her head came out of the water, followed by others.
