Rachael picked up the card and read it aloud, “your eye colour will become that of the person on your left,”
Rachael looked at her husband's eyes, they are blue, hers are brown... well... they were.
“Honey!? Your eyes!?” Brian said astonished, Rachael got up and went to the nearest mirror and squealed in excitement.
“So, this game is able to physically change us? What if we don’t like the change... do we just have to live with it?” Thomas asked, the sound of worry in his voice,
“I’m sure not, let me check the rules whilst your father has his turn,” Rachael said as she flicked through the rule book,
“A 5 and a 3, that's an 8,” Brian moved his piece and then picked up his card, “your hair will change colour to blonde,” Brian looked at his black hair, as did everyone else. From the roots, it’s colour changed. His hair was blonde, “wow!! Amazing how a game can do this kind of thing!!” Brian said, handing the dice to his son who promptly and hesitantly rolled the dice, a 6 and a 3. He picked up his card and read it.
“Got it, it says here in the rules...” Rachael started, “‘the transformations and changes that have occurred in this game last until someone wins the game. Whoever wins the game receives one wish to use immediately.’ So basically the changes are only gonna last until the game ends... so Thomas, you have no reason to—“ Rachael suddenly stopped when she realised what had happened to her son... well... she wasn't sure how to call him.
“Wow! Thomas. You have grown up. You look as old as me!” Brian said while he watches in astonishment at the grown man covered in tight boy's clothing,
“This is so awkward!!” Thomas said with a deep voice while the last pieces of clothing fall off his body, “I don’t want to change!!”
“Tom! Everything will be fine, I just said that the change won’t last forever, all we have to do is finish the game.” Rachael said to Thomas to try and calm him down. It worked, but he was still embarrassed of being the center of attention.
Nobody noticed, but Alice has taken the dice and rolled them, 2 and a 4. She moved her piece, that’s when Brian noticed she was still playing. Rachael was preoccupied with Thomas,
“Alice! Hold on!” Brian yelled, everybody directed their attention to Alice, who had just picked up a card. Her eyes lit up,
“wow! My brain is really smart now, I can read the card!” Alice yelled happily,
“So, we have a smart lady and a big boy,” Brian joked a little, but it seems Thomas didn't like it.
“If we want this to be over, we have to finish the game, just like that movie Jumanji, got it kids? Brian?” They all nodded at Rachael.
