Deep in the hidden parts of the city is the Temple of Divine Womanhood. It is said that it only reveals itself to seekers. In its stark interior is the statue of a goddess unknown. The Temple opens itself only to men and exists for only one purpose. Men who make a sacrifice to the goddess, no matter how small, are transformed into women. This transformation is complete and permanent. Many have visited it over the centuries, and for many reasons: men in love with men or women who love only women, men being thrust into responsibilities they do not wish to undertake; men being forced into marriages they do not wish to enter; men who would just rather be women.
