"Alright kids, time to get off the bus!" The teacher called. It was a brisk, autumn day and a group of kids got up to merge into a line off the vehicle to enter a huge modern museum filled to the brim with old artwork and items.
One of those kids was a boy named Brady. About 4'1" in a typical carefree outfit of a t-shirt, shorts and sneakers, the short haired nine year old blonde looked pretty disinterested in the sights. On the day before Halloween weekend, he should be going to find a costume or something, but instead he's here, wandering the halls of a dull building, at least dull in his eyes. He was the type to want to go off on his own and seek something more exciting. Which is exactly what he was planning on doing.
When the tour guide began to lead the group around the main floor, Brady looked for an opening to sneak off. He strsyed far enough to where no one noticed him wandering off towards the other halls. "What are you doing?" Another boy's voice whispered. Brady turned to see his best friend Tyler. Tyler was a much more reserved and cautious boy. He was about a couple inches shorter than Brady, with brunette hair and glasses. Overall, he looked like your typical nerd who wore a cozy sweater vest and pants, the air making him cold easily. "Just gonna go look for the stuff I actually wanna see, Ty. Don't worry, I'll be back in like, two seconds." Brady replied before ducking under the red rope to go into the hall that lead downstairs to the lower first floor, where all the supposed 'cursed artifacts' were.
Those who don't know any better say they're cursed, but they're actually just magical. Some house the spirits of long lost deities or mythical creatures, others were just stuff a wizard dropped on a ye olde sidewalk hundreds of years ago. Either way, Brady didn't know what he was getting into. In his mind, all museums were just boring buildings of random old stuff. At least, until he sees something that catches his eye as something actually cool.
"Oh man...what am I gonna do?" Tyler knew he couldn't stop him. In fact, he didn't have time to watching Brady run off to the end of the hall and down the stairs. He contemplated whether to just follow him, but he didn't want to look suspicious. So he just hung around the group for now and hoped no one did a head count. But he knew he'd have to go find him eventually himself if they wanted to stay out of trouble. Something he didn't ever say to Brady was that he kind of liked the sporty boy as something more than just a friend. At least, that's all he understood about his feelings. He just knew he cared about him a lot, so he didn't ever want him to get in trouble doing something stupid, which Brady had done a lot in the past.
Once in the lower levels, Brady looked around the ornately designed floor. There were some things in glass cases, so he couldn't touch those. But some stuff was out in the open, just roped off. Nothing really spoke to him until he noticed something when he turned the corner in this maze-like room. "Woah...what the heck is that...?" The bright eyed boy drew closer to the artifact he saw...
