On the next stop an older boy sat next to Jennifer and asked how was she feeling. She had no idea who the boy was at the moment but she was certain that he was a 7th grader. Jennifer didn't want to be rude and stated that she was doing fine. A memory flashbanged again in Jennifer's mind that made her think. She looked at the boy again but now more confused. Jennifer suddenly remembered the boy... The boy just smiled and patted Jennifer's shoulder which made her to lock her right hand with his left hand as it fell down. She didn't know what's going on with her body but she trusted her gut instinct. Jennifer's body begun to tingle as she started to remember more and more about him. She remembered that his name Marcus, he loved to play football, and Jennifer was the one who had asked from him to be her boyfriend during one of his practice days. It was a sunny day and she asked him to come talk to her in private. She's never been this bold with other people at this age. It seems Marcus was quite clueless when Jennifer came asking something like that out of blue. She remembers that he took it as a funny joke rather than a confession. She had told Marcus that they should hang out more as she really liked him. In the end they swapped their numbers and begun to see each other more. All Jennifer could remember that Marcus was a sweet and kind boy who only wished best for her. They would spend their time playing video games, hang out near parks and she would occasionally invited him to her house to... To do what...? Why couldn't she remember what happened after that... On that day something happened she was sure of it. Jennifer just couldn't pinpoint what it was. Strange...
At some point the bus stopped moving and arrived at the schoolyard. Marcus kept holding Jennifer's hand as they walked out to the school's front doors from the school bus. Jennifer could only coyly smile as students raised their eyebrows as they walked past them. Jennifer tried to act dumb in front of everyone as if this was Marcus's idea. Jennifer could only see that other students were whispering but was unable to hear what they were saying. Was this not normal? It seemed to her that this was first time other students saw them together like this. Inside the school hall Marcus still acted like a nice guy and pranced like a deer in a forest. He let Jennifer's hand the moment the bells rang and they went their separate ways. Jennifer's body reacted unexpectedly as she had to let go off Marcus's arm. She couldn't smile anymore. Leaving Jennifer confused what was happening around her. Was Marcus her first crush or was there something more sinister happening? She had no idea as she went inside her own classroom and took a seat on her desk.
