Week had gone by and her mother had luckily got only one year younger. Making Ruby age thirty nine as she was spending time with her husband. Things looked relatively normal as Jennifer had gotten more used to her new friends at school. She tried her best to hold her values high and humble herself here and there. Being chipper and helpful to other younger and older students.
One specific morning as Jennfier was hanging around with her sophomore friend a mysterious looking boy approached him. The boy demanded why Jennifer acted to happy and never changed. Jennifer could hear his voice but it was like it was coming throught a voice filter. Not being clearly to hear what he was saying. Actually Jennifer wasn't sure was the person even a he as Jennifer couldn't hear the name. The two girls called the person icky and creepy and stood in front of Jennifer protecting her from this veiled figure. Jennifer apologized for the sudden inconvenience and explained to her new besties that she had difficulties seeing or hearing who this person even was.
Jennfier besties tried their best to explain who it was but it didn't help. If she was honest. She didn't care to know and maybe it was for the best. He was too creepy and she had better things to do. Like finishing her high school.
On Jennifer's trip to the home she felt that something wasn't right. The weird voices and the black hole like void person with no face made her curious. Jennifer decided to write a diary and understand this creature that was living in their school. Why couldn't Jennifer see or hear her or if she did hear it's voice it had like thousands voices and no voices at the same time. Like it's face, no face to remember but at the same time millions different face kept changing like a virtual game character that had it's face on random settings. Maybe she could write a new urban legend of this mysterious person if she acted more with it.
Jennifer had completely forgotten that she had been cursed as she spent the following days following, inspecting and investigating this mysterious thing. She always kept her distance and spent half a year writing about the things it did. It was almost as if it was a regular student. It had no name, no gender and it was a loner. Guys spoke with him as it never interacted with girls. During this time her mother hadn't grown any younger as Ruby celebrated her third fortieth birthday. Somehow her mother didn't know what was happening as Jennifer was only one able to see the changes as she was eating cake. Finding the whole situation more funny than celebratory. Jennifer decided to put this small little detail to her diary and changed her mother's name saying that the thing was able to make people eat their birthdays.
As more time passed Jennifer was now high school junior and she had learned to humble herself. Learning valuable lesson for being a nice human being and follow the rules. She didn't follow them because someone told her to follow them but instead she acted nice and did what she was asked for the sake of others. Being nice to others meant that they would be nice to you too as everyone felt more safer around everyone. A golden lesson which became Jennifer core memory. Two more years ahead until she can get rid of the curse.
