Dylan keeps sneaking glances at Jeff. Despite what Jeff said, his sixteen year old babysitter is obviously hiding something. Dylan can read Jeff pretty well.
Dylan gets up to use the bathroom, and when he comes back, he quietly walks up behind Jeff, but Jeff notices him at the last second and closes the laptop.
"Stay out of my business, twerp," says Jeff.
"Pshh, whatever," Dylan says, laying back on the couch. Now Dylan is certain he wants to see whatever Jeff is looking at. He decides on a plan he'd used on his mom one time.
Dylan heads up stairs, to his bedroom. He gives it a minute, then screams at the top of his lungs. Then yells, "Jeff, I'm bleeding!"
Dylan dashes out of his room as quietly as possible and hides in the hallway closet. He hears Jeff run past him, and then Dylan dashes down the stairs, picking up Jeff's laptop and the odd looking device attached to it, and heads out the front door, quietly closing it behind him. He can hear Jeff calling for him. Dylan sits down on the front porch with his back to the wall, setting the laptop on his lap.
Dylan has hidden from Jeff out here before, but he'd hidden lots of places in the two years since Jeff started babysitting him. Jeff would find him, eventually, but Dylan would have time to see what Jeff was doing on his laptop. Dylan expected to see porn.
Instead, he saw an app open, Chronivac 4.0. Dylan is bored immediately when he sees it's all text, but forces himself to keep reading, since Jeff wouldn't hide something boring from him.
"Dylan! Where is my laptop?" Jeff's shouts are muffled but still audible through the front windows. With his laptop missing, Dylan knows Jeff won't give up looking for him.
As he quickly reads the instructions in the app, Dylan's interest quickly grows. Can this app really change people? He selects Jeff's name. The options are overwhelming, and Dylan isn't that fast of a reader. Quick, he needs something quick, but nothing that can stop Jeff from coming after him jumps out at Dylan.
Presets, that might help. He clicks the Presets button. There are an overwhelming number of presets. The front door opens, Jeff stepping out, and Dylan panics, he has to click something, and there, that option should work! He clicks it.
