"I... don't know.." Lucy confessed. "I mean... I do want to be close to you, knowing you used to be my brother, but... Thinking of you as that... doesn't feel right to me." She looked away from her ex-brother. "And... You're kind of your own person, too. So trying to form a bond based on someone you're not doesn't feel right, either."
"I kinda feel the way." Jennifer agreed. "Even if Jeff was your brother... I'm not. And considering what he did, even if it wasn't his idea, I don't really want to be anything like him, either... So anything that can help distance me from him would be nice..."
A light blush appeared on Lucy's face as she spoke up again. "But... I don't want to be just friends, either." She admit with a bashful tone. "I mean, I want to be closer than friends, just... seeing you as my sister doesn't sit right."
The other girl's face lit up with her own blush. "W-Wait, are you- Are you saying you want to...?" She left the question unspoken, but even still, Lucy nodded. "Wouldn't that be kinda weird though...? D-Dating your own sibling...? Even if WE aren't related, it's... He's still part of me, in s-some way, so..."
"I'm sure." Lucy interrupted. "If it doesn't work out, then we can always go back to just friends, but... I-It lets us stay close like that, while helping you reject your former self." Then she looked over at Jennifer, her blush intensifying. "I d-don't blame you if you want to reject... a-and honestly, I've never thought about being interested in other girls before, either, so..."
Jennifer smiled, still blushing. "What's the worst that could happen?" She asked, taking a step closer, before leaning in and giving Lucy a quick peck on the cheek, watching as her blush intensified more. "Hehe, you do look pretty cute when you're blushing, too."
With a flustered groan, Lucy pulled her now-girlfriend closer. "You're one to talk!" She refuted, watching the other girl blush more. "But... honestly, I'm happy you accepted." Then, she leaned in, closing her eyes as she returned the kiss with one on the lips. Jennifer's eyes grew wide for a moment, before she closed them, leaning into the kiss as well.
