At the excited questioning of Diana, Jennifer stammered out, "U-Uh- W-We were-"
But before she could say anything, Lucy suddenly blurted out, "We're dating!" Upon processing what she just said, she burns brighter, burying her face into Jennifer's shoulder with a squeak. Feeling as the other girl wrapped her arms around her... a somewhat familiar feeling, yet also foreign.
Diana stepped back, stunned by the sudden reveal. Everyone else was quiet, too, eyes wide in surprise. But the silence was loud in its own way, and neither girl knew how the others would react. Until finally, Diana spoke. "Y-You... are?" She asked, as if wanting verification. Jennifer gave her a hesitant nod of confirmation.
"..I didn't think you liked girls, Lucy." Natalie commented.
"And I didn't know Jennifer did, either.." Diana added, glancing back at the group.
Another moment of silence washed over the group, before Jennifer broke it, squeaking out, "N-Neither did we.. honestly..." While speaking, she removed one hand from around Lucy to rub the back of her neck. "I-It just... happened..."
