Sophia's eyes widened as she read the sentence, wondering how it got there. She hesitated for a moment before her fingers moved to edit the sentence. She changed "children" to "daughters" out of curiosity, wondering what would happen.
As soon as she hit confirm, Sophia felt a strange sensation wash over her. At first, nothing seemed different. But as she looked back at her sleeping children, she noticed something was off. She turned her attention to the car seats and gasped. All six of her children were now girls.
Sophia's mind reeled as she tried to understand what was happening. She stared at the sentence on the phone again, wondering if it was some kind of joke or a weird glitch. But the sentence seemed so...real. She didn't know what to make of the app or its power.
As she stood there, confused and surprised, Jack pulled the van into the garage and then into the house, getting out to help Sophia out of the car. Together, they helped their daughters out of the car seats and carried the sleeping ones into the house. Sophia didn't mention the strange app or the sudden change to Jack, unsure of what to say or how to explain it.
Once all the girls were settled in their room, Sophia and Jack left them to start organizing the house a bit. In the chaos of managing six infants, they had let things slide, and the house was a mess. Sophia absent-mindedly left her phone in one of the rooms, still open to the mysterious app, without realizing it.
Meanwhile, Jack and Sophia headed to the living room to unwind and watch some movies. They collapsed onto the couch, exhausted but happy to have some rare adult time.
In the girl's room, Jane woke up to a world that was both familiar and strange. Rubbing her eyes, she took in her surroundings. The room was huge, filled with pastel colors, toys, clothes, a TV, etc. She was in a crib, while her "siblings" – now all girls – slept in toddler beds. Jane was dressed in a pink footed onesie, and her hair was still in pigtails.
She was shocked to see that her brothers were now sisters. Three of them were playing with toys and two were sleeping. Jane's mind reeled as she tried to understand what had happened. Maybe Sophia had used the phone? Her phone! She had to get it back.
Jane tried to escape from her crib, and when she finally managed to climb out, she attempted to tiptoe across the room. However, her diaper made her movements awkward, forcing her to waddle instead of walk. She stopped to think about where Sophia might have put the phone. It had to be somewhere in the house...but where?
