“Hm…,” the “girl” says, she then smiles, “why don’t we head to the zoo?”
Jeff smiles, “sure, why not,” he says, hooking his arm around the arm of the girl, who he believes is his girlfriend, before booth exit the house and head to the bus stop.
“It’s really nice that you came by,” Jeff says as they wait for the bus, “we haven’t seen each other for two weeks”.
The “girl” nods, “yeah, hope we can make up for the lost time over the weekend”.
Jeff chuckles, “probably not,” he says, then he smiles, “but I promise to make this weekend unforgettable for the both of us”.
“Natsumi” smiles, “I’ll take your word for it,” she says.
After an hour they arrive at the zoo and after paying the entree fee, they head first towards the large cats, “by the way, babe,” Jeff says, “I’ve never asked you what your favorite animal is”.
“Oh, I have a plenty,” the “girl” says, “I like all big cats, I like all canines, including foxes and wolves. I also like dolphins, all kinds of reptiles, but my most favorite are monkeys, especially those cute squirrel monkeys”.
“Cool,” Jeff says, smiling wide.
“What about you,” the “girl” then asks.
“Well, same as you,” Jeff says, grinning, “I knew from the first time I met you, that we’d be the perfect match, and this is just another evidence that we belong to each other”.
“Natsumi” smiles, “yeah, and I’m so happy that I have you, Jeff,” she says.
Jeff wraps his arms around the “girl”, looking directly in her eyes as he hugs her, smiling, “and I’m so happy that I have YOU,” he says, “I could never love anyone else!”
“Natsumi” giggles, “glad to hear that,” she says.
They continue on their way, now heading to the monkey and gorilla house, “let’s head to the squirrel monkeys and make a cute picture of us kissing and with the monkeys in the background,” Jeff says.
“Let’s do it,” the “girl” says.
The two head to the squirrel monkeys and get in position, “let’s use your phone first,” Jeff suggests, “then we’ll make one more picture with mine”.
“Alright,” the “girl” says, taking out her phone, ‘luckily my phone case has adjusted to my current gender,’ Max thinks to himself.
“Oh, new phone case,” Jeff asks, “I really like it, the butterflies and flowers looks so beautiful”.
“Natsumi” smiles, “thanks,” she says, “alright, let’s do this,” she then says, opening the camera and flipping it to the “selfie mode”. The “girl” then lies her arm around Jeff’s shoulders, Jeff doing the same before both kiss each other, with a “click” the picture is taken.
“My turn,” Jeff says as “Natsumi” puts her phone into the back pocket of her jeans, ‘if only he knew… he’d be so mad,’ Max thinks to himself.
As the two pose to take the second picture, neither of them, nor anyone in the monkey and gorilla house, notice a squirrel monkey sneaking up from behind, the animal reaches through the bars of the pen and grabs “Natsumi’s” phone before scurrying away.
“Natsumi” doesn’t notice that her phone is gone as she and Jeff make their way to the exit of the monkey and gorilla house to continue their tour of the zoo.
