Transform or Dare?

Does it matter in the end if you're a little greedy and stupid?

Several hours and a dozen shops later, a clerk informed Jennifer that her card had been cancelled. Jennifer, who carried almost half of the store in her hands, asked what they meant by this. The clerk asked if Jennifer had any other payment methods at hand. Jennifer handed the other credit card she had with her to the clerk, which also had been cancelled.

“I guess these are my last purchases then,” Jennifer shrugged and returned back home. When Jennifer opened the apartment home’s door, she was greeted by her father, who looked distressed.

“Pumpkin. Don’t be alarmed, but we have been robbed,” Otto scratched his head while he spoke with someone on the phone.

“My wallet’s missing, and it had all the cards for my personal and savings accounts. I’m currently in a call with your mother, asking her what we should do when both of my bank accounts are in red-hot negatives. I didn’t even pay the bills, and we have no money left for food,” Otto panicked, but then he saw the bags she carried with her.

“Pumpkin? What are those?” Otto asked as his eyes turned red. “Don’t tell me... It was you who burned all my money?”

“Dad. Give me a break. We always go to the mall together, and I found your wallet in my backpack, and I thought--” Jennifer explained, but she could had time to finish her sentence. She was cut short by her father.

“JENNIFER SMITH!” Otto’s loud voice boomed in the air. “What’s wrong with you? How could you do such a thing!? Quick! You need to return all of these back to the mall and explain that this was all a big misunderstanding!”

Otto was fuming and explained to his ex-wife over the phone what had just happened. Even Annabel couldn’t believe what Jennifer had done. Jennifer didn’t understand why his father was yelling at her, and she yelled back at him. She told him how much she hated him and how this was his fault. Her dad always bought her nice things, so what was the big deal if she went on a little bit of a shopping spree herself?

“Jennifer. You clearly don’t understand what’s going on, so here’s what we’re going to do. I’M going to return these to the mall, while YOU wait here and think about what YOU’VE done,” Otto shouted and angrily pointed his finger at the culprit.

Then Otto yanked all the shopping bags from Jennifer’s hands and pushed her daughter away from the door before slamming it loudly back to its hinges behind him.

“What the hell, DAD! Those were MINE!” Jennifer screamed and kicked at the closed door. She grunted and groaned and decided to watch TV to distract herself from worries of the world. She did nothing wrong, and it was her father’s fault for enabling her behavior. The rest of the day went in a similar manner. Jennifer didn’t say anything to her father, and during the nighttime she ignored her dad’s wishes for the night.

The next morning Jennifer woke up from her bed feeling lighter. While lying on her back, she noticed how her chest had gone from two moderate-sized orbs to a cutting board. She was as flat as a pancake, which worried her. She could have sworn that she had a bigger chest before she hit the hay, and it was impossible for that amount of silicone to disappear in thin air. Jennifer wondered what the heck was going on.
