It would always come in a red envelope. Each member of the family (the process of selection meant family members would be chosen at the same time) recieved an individual letter, and although details would be changed, the outline was always the same.
"Dear Sir/Madame,
This letter has been sent in order to inform you that your son/daughter has been selected as part of the Farmland Regeneration Act of 2009.
Extensive details are included in the enclosed booklet, including a species guide and other such details which must be understood by both parent and child.

The aformentioned Farmland Regeneration Act of 2009 came following an outbreak of disease among farm animals nationwide. The foodchain was destroyed. The government, having funded development into the genetic alteration of humans, decided to launch plans to select 16-21 year olds and transform them (via injection) into anthropomorphic farm animals; for produce, breeding, meat, and labour. Cows, pigs, chicken, horses... all covered. Teens would have have a medical, be assigned a species, and would spend the next two weeks worried as hell. They would then be transformed and sent off to specially built farms to live their new lives.
But this was only the beginning.
On this fateful 2010 morning, who recieves a red letter?
