Alex and Mark head into the eastern wing of the mansion.
"So you have any idea what to look for?" Mark says as they walk down the corridor
"No idea you?" Alex asks
"Just that there is some kind of cursed gold in this house" Mark says
"Cursed gold somewhere in this huge mansion they could of at least given us a hint!" Alex yells
"Well theres a bunch of rooms over here lets go check them" Mark says
"Well we better do something I want to get out of this stupid mess" Alex says
"Will you shut up and help check this room" Mark says opening a door
They both walk into the room before they notice they are not alone. In front of them is the most beautiful women they have ever seen dressed in all black as if she was going to a funeral.
"Holy shit!" Mark says
"Hey you stuck here to?" Alex says to the women
"Um Alex, remember how there is supposed to be this maiden searching for us that is going to do something to us... I think this is her." Mark whispers to Alex.
"Shit... on the count of three run!... one... two... three!" Alex says as they both bolt to the door as it slams shut and locks.
"Now boys listen carefully you will get one chance to answer this riddle. What do no men have, all men had? It makes them sad when they remember what they had?" the maiden asks
Mark and Alex whisper to each other each having their own ideas and each shooting down the other's answers.
"Ok its got to be money, but men have that..." Alex whispers to Mark
"Maybe its happiness, but I'm sure not all men are sad..." Mark suggests
"Times ticking thirty seconds left" the maiden says tapping her foot.
By now Mark and Alex were panicking none of their answers were fitting right.
"Ten seconds" the maiden says as she starts counting down. As the Maiden reaches the last second Mark panics and yells out "Innocence!"
"sorry, but that was the wrong answer the correct answer was youth." she says as she walks over to Mark and Alex who were now trying desperately to move, but found that their feet could not leave the floor.
"Get away from us you bitch!" Mark yells
"What are you trying to do make her madder! Why did I have to agree to pair up with you!" Alex yells
"Children, both of you! Its time you reflected that in your appearance!" she says annoyed pushing Mark and Alex over. As she pushed them their bodies seemed to fade into the air as two young boys fell stumbling back out of the space the older teens had previously occupied, and fell to the floor with a thud. Mark and Alex got up slowly each feeling strange and weak as they got up. As they turned to look at each other they both saw their friend, as they had not seen them since they were little kids not even past puberty. Their clothes that they had been wearing had changed along with them shrinking to fit their smaller scrawny bodies. Mark and Alex screamed as they saw each other, but soon fell silent as they heard their high pitched voices.
"Your a kid! I'm a kid" they said at once
"Dude, look at your reflection..." Alex says pointing behind Mark at the mirror.
"Its me... the old me, not the kid me! Our reflections are our older bodies, what does that mean?" Mark says
"The hell if I know maybe the mirror shows our true self, not whatever that bitch does to us..." Alex says suddenly feeling light headed
"Sounds possible... now lets go find that gold!" Mark says his expression suddenly changing
"Last one there is a rotten egg!" Alex says as they burst out the door and run down the hall laughing and playing.
