"I can't hunt a deer!" Jackie was shocked. "Hannah's a good friend!"
"You won't be hunting Hannah. Hannah's not a deer, she's a deermorph. Deer are animals, they're a prey species." Keith replied.
"I don't care. I don't want to look into the face of something I'm eating and see Hannah's eyes looking back at me."
"You're being unreasonable--they're not Hannah's eyes. There's no human intelligence in them."
"Well I guess I'm just an unreasonable female then! Is that what you mean?"
"You know that's not what I mean." Keith was afraid that he was losing control of what had become an argument.
"Do I? I understand why you want to be a male, but you don't have to be a sexist jerk."
*For someone who's been female a day and a half you've really got it down* Keith thought. He felt his annoyance at Jackie's unreasonable attitude start to give way to real anger. With an effort he pulled back from the brink. "OK, fine, it's not worth arguing about, if you don't want to hunt deer we won't hunt deer."
"Maybe I don't want to hunt anything!"
"But you said--OK, fine." Keith replied. "I am going to hunt a rabbit or a groundhog. You are welcome to come." He turned around and stalked off. Jackie didn't move.
