It’s a beautiful young girl with dark brown hair. The two make eye contact for a moment and she smiles at him. Josh gives a coy smile back and casually checks her out. She’s dressed in a low cut shirt and cargo shorts. He looks down and smiles at her bright yellow Converse shoes. When he looks back up he catches her checking him out, but she gives him a challenging stare as she takes the water pistol into her hand.
A bell rings, and for a moment Josh forgets what’s going on, but the girl instantly takes aim and fires. It takes Josh a few seconds to focus, but he snaps to attention and takes aim. He’s already a few seconds behind, but he manages to catch up pretty quick. He looks at the girl who is concentrating hard, biting her lower lip as she fires. Josh returns his focus, and in a split second victory, pops his balloon first. “WINNER,” shouts a man behind the booth, “here you are son.” The man hands Josh a large orange rabbit. “Thanks,” he laughs looking at his prize and then to the girl. “Here,” he says handing it out. “You aren’t taking pity on me are you?” she smiles. Josh shakes his head, “not at all. Call it… second place.”
She laughs at his slightly confusing joke, giving him the benefit of the doubt. “I’m Marie,” she says taking the rabbit from him. “Josh, and this is Je-“ Josh looks over, but Jesse is gone. He looks around and sees him at one of the beer kegs filling up. “So what are you up to next,” she leans in. “I dunno, really. This place is so strange, I really don’t know what to do with myself.” She laughs, “You do anything you want.”
“Like what….?”
