Rob was terrified, but at the same time she knew she had to do something. She couldn't catch the moth, it was moving far too fast, and if she turned it back into a rock it would crush Brandon.
Rob's body started growing feathers, and two enormous wings sprouted from her shoulders. She feel forward, as her body transformed into a streamlined hawk's body. Her wings started flapping, and she took to the sky.
Following instincts that had come with her new form, Rob swooped down on the moth, still flying low over the ground, and seized it in her claws. She killed it with a quick peck at its head with the beak her muzzle had become.
Rob glided gently to the ground, the body of the moth grasping her friend still held in her claws. She bent over Brandon's body, and without noticing it, turned back into a young foxgirl.
"Please, Brandon, you've got to be alright, otherwise we're really going to get into trouble."
Brandon seemed uninjured, he wasn't bleeding, and he didn't seem to have any broken bones. He was breathing, and his pulse seemed normal.
"Please Brandon, I didn't mean to hurt you, I didn't know this would happen."
Brandon's eyes fluttered open. "Wow, that was really something. Can we do that again?"
