“Well, for the start I need a familiar” Kat said. “It seems like a familiar has to be an animal, but it can have human like abilities, so I let you the ability to talk – for now”. With that she pointed the stick at her brother, who starts to shrink down and develop feline characteristics.
As he fell on all fours he realizes he is now a Cat, but at least a male one like it seems.
Dan starts – much to Kat´s surprise - to laugh. He than said to Kat: “I can´t believe, mom said the truth, when she told me 2 days ago you would get magic abilities on your birthday. But since she warned me, the joke is on you. You see I didn´t quite believe her back then, but I didn´t want to take the risk. You may have not noticed by now, but I poisoned you. The first symptoms should kick in in 2 or 3 hours. So if you would be so kind and change me back to human, so I can give you the Antidote…”
Of course he didn´t really poison her. The “First symptom”, nausea, is also the last and after half an hour it´s over, but Kat hasn´t to know this.
