Lars typed in the name of his town, "Pleasantville, _______". A startlingly accurate depiction of his hometown appeared on the screen.
"Wow, they must use satellites or something."
Another box popped up. "Would you like to enter a more specific address or person?"
Curious how far it would go, Lars typed in the address of his best friend Jake Myers.
"WOAH! It's super accurate!"
The box popped up again. "Would you like to enter a specific person or work with this?"
Lars typed in Jake's name. An incredibly detailed box of options popped up and the screen said "What modifications would you like to make to Jake?" Jake was a total dork just like him. They were short, skinny freshmen at the local highschool. Jake's house appeared on the screen. In fact, several boxes like "Short" "skinny" "Acne covered" "dork" "computer geek" "Looks-ugly" were already checked.
"What a coincidence." Lars said. Since Jake was pretty much like a brother to him, Lars unchecked the bad boxes and started checking some of the other ones. He checked "Tall--6'". "Jock--football." "Looks-Total Hunk." "Personality-cocky." "Body-muscle bound." "Attitude--sexy" "Popular" and so on. The whole time he was surreptitiously rubbing himself through his pants, getting really into designing the sort of jock that he and Jake always wanted to be. Finally he came with a grunt and finished the final touches. He then clicked save.
A box popped up. "Changes will take about a month to become effective."
Lars shrugged, not knowing what that meant, and clicked okay. He waited a few minutes and nothing happened.
"Isn't it supposed to create a sim?"
He tried a few other names and places, but everything offered him the same options.
"What a lame game!" He said, ejected it from the system and put it inside his desk. He then forgot about it and logged on to Warcraft.
