You collapse, exhausted on Janet's back, still unable to pull away from her due to your knot. As you wait for it to shrink back into your sheath, you stare at yourself in the mirror across the room from you finally taking in all the changes in your body. Your mind is clear now. Being a dog feels completely natural to you and as you think about it, the human world seems almost alien. Your body feels warm and you realize that you are panting. You stare at the chocolate lab on the back of a yellow lab in the mirror. You couldn't be happier about the change.
A few minutes later, the two of you are finally able to separate. Janet walks around the room taking in all the scents that were previously undetectable to her. As you watch her, you realize that the sounds she's making as well as how she moves is communicating to you. You start to feel turned on again but the feeling is interrupted by a knock on the door.
You bark once signaling that it is alright for whoever is at the door to enter. The bellhop from earlier enters. He's wheeling a meal cart into the room.
"I suppose the two of you are hungry," he says. "We are automatically notified of any guests' transformations. Often times our guest become quite hungry after a transformation due to size changes or...... physical activity for lack of a better word. Just a word of advice, before you turn your nose up at the food, give it a try. It will taste better than you think due to your new senses. Also, should you wish to experience the outdoors portions of our resort in your new bodies, just scratch at the door and it will let you out." With that being said, the bellhop places three bowls on the floor. Two are filled with dry dog food. The third is water. He also places two bones on the floor in case you two get bored. When he's done, he leaves without another word.
You and Janet look at each other for a few seconds. Slowly both of you move towards the bowls. You instinctively drink some of the water before sniffing the dry dog food. It smells odd but the smell begins to make you salivate. Before you realize it, you bury your head into the bowl and the food is gone before you know it. The taste of lamb and beef remains in your mouth amazingly even though all you've had is some dry bits. You lap up some more water and soon feel Janet's head beside your's over the water bowl. You steal a quick glance over at her food bowl and see that it too is empty.
After awhile of chewing on the bones, you see Janet approach the door. She looks back at you and then scratches it. A dog door appears at the bottom. You follow her through it and out into the hall. You move to the elevator which automatically starts moving as soon as you are inside. It opens into a new lobby. Inside are various animals at all different degrees of change. Some are anthromorphs. Some are full animals like you and Janet, and some are just accented by slight changes. Outside, you see mermaids by the pool, and centaurs and horses in the distance and on the beach.
You follow the signs to the designated dog park. There are some other dogs inside running about having fun. You and Janet walk around getting acquainted with the other dogs. A collie seems to take some special interest in you, as a German shepard seems to take a special interest in Janet. The collie turns and presents herself to you. The aroma starts to entice you towards her. Just before you are about to move to take her, Janet licks your face. The alien human feeling of monogamy comes back into your head barely able to overpower the canine instincts that you've been solely running on so far. The lick from Janet causes you to think that maybe you should go back to the room before anything else happens. Janet must have had the same idea so she starts to leave the dog park too.
On the way, you stop and relieve yourself outdoors. It feels great to go to the bathroom outdoors. It's so freeing and yet makes you feel even more like a dog. Some part of your mind keeps telling you to run back to the dog park and take the collie without another thought. You turn and run back to the room as fast as you can. Janet arrives a few moments later.
As Janet enters, you just sit in front of the door and stare at it. The feeling that you should take the collie keeps growing stronger. You start to move towards the door but just as you are about to scratch it and go back to the dog park, Janet barks. You turn to find out why she barked only to be confronted by her rear. Her tail is raised in the air and suddenly all thought of the collie is gone. In fact everything except Janet is gone. You move to her and mount her once again.
After you finish and are separated once again, you both curl up together on the bed. As the sun goes down outside, you both doze off.
The next time you wake up, it's bright in the room from the morning sun. You look at the clock. It's 7AM. You feel a little strange. You sit up and look in the mirror. You are once again human.
