"You can't do this to me!" screamed Dan
"Oh?" asked his mother, "And why not? Tradition is tradition Daniel
and you lucked out. Nothing I can do about it, even if I wanted to."
"But you're supposed to me my mum!" yelled Dan
"I am," said his mum, "But my role as a witch come first. Now, if you
don't settle down I will have to make you settle down."
"Settle Down?!" said Dan, "I'm a plant! I have roots! I've settled
down as much as I'm ever going to!"
Dan's mum simply sighed and made a small, unusual gesture with her
hand. At first it seemed nothing happened, and Dan's pause of
apprehension was short lived when he realised this. However, when he
opened his mouth to speak again, he found that no words would come
out. He tried and tried with everything he had, but to no avail.
Desperately he looked at his mother for some sort of help, but it
fell upon deaf eyes as she simply turned away.
"Kat." his mother called as she walked out of the room, "Please take
care of your belongings. I will be disappointed if I have to take
matters into my own hands again."
Dan's head simply slumped in despair, as his only chance abandoned
him to his cruel and unfair fate.
