Status Reminder
1. Kari - Fuzzy armed, stealth bonus against Earth King's followers, captured by Earth King's enemies (current turn)
2. Richie - Ten years old, hawk eyes, Naga
3. Angel - Hawk eyes, has potion of speed, in heat (lose next turn)
4. Darwin - Naga
5. Ester - Vixen, Forest Guardian (trapped in forest), forest camo, in heat (lose next turn)
6. Micha - Desert Sultan's eight year old daughter (trapped in desert, movement cut in half), becomes a half human half scorpion creature every other turn
"I think I'll try to escape" Kari said as she picked up the dice. "I think it would be best if we can see each other." She rolled the dice and held her breath. She wanted to stay with the Earth King's enemies but if someone else became trapped or captured they would each be transported to their pawns locations. How would they continue to play the game if that happened? The dice seemed to be moving in slow motion as they tumbled across the board. They slowly came to rest on snake eyes. She moved her pawn north two spaces. She took the card that popped out and her face fell as she read it.
"What does it say?" Richie asked.
Kari looked at Richie and said "It says 'You try to escape from the Earth Kings enemies. However they quickly recapture you and ensure that you can't run away again. You now have the tail of a fish.'"
Kari quickly reaches down and takes off her shorts and panties to spare them being ruined by her transformation. She watched in fascination as her legs fused together. She could feel the bones in her legs and feet shift around. Her feet flattened out and turned to either side forming fins. Silver scales started to form on her new tail starting at her hips and working down to her fins. Once her transformation was complete she said "Well this is weird. I still have furry arms and my legs are now a fish tail. I definitely won't be able to move with this unless i'm in water."
"You know, I wonder how much of the world has been revealed outside" Darwin said.
"It's... not... a... good... idea... to... see" Angel stammered. "Look... at... Ester... and... Micha."
"They look like they're not paying attention to the game" Richie said.
"They're not" Kari said lowering her head. "They're both trapped in different areas. If we open the door they may go to those areas and not come back."
"Then how would we finish the game?" Richie asked. "I can't remain like this for the rest of my life."
"At least you're still male Richie" Darwin said. "Poor Micha is female now. That and he/she is eight years old now. That's going to put a damper on his/her relationship with Kari. You're not seeing anyone Richie. You can grow up again and find a girlfriend when you do."
"What girl would go out with someone who's a half snake?!" Richie asked pointing to himself. "I'm a freak and so are you Darwin!"
"We're all freaks right now Richie" Kari said. "Hopefully we'll be able to change back once we finish the game."
"You mean like Jumanjii?" Richie asked.
"This isn't a movie Richie" Darwin said. "I highly doubt that we'll go back to being ourselves when this is over."
"Don't be so negative" Kari said. "The cards did say that we would go back to our regular reality once we finish the game. That should mean that we'll be normal again."
"I hope so" Richie said.
Kari shifted in her seat uncomfortably and said "My skin feels tight."
"You're probably dehydrating" Darwin said. "We need to get you in some water."
"I'm going to try to rescue her" Richie said. "Then we can take her to the ocean." He picked up the dice and said "Here goes nothing."
