Emma was worried about her friend. Jen had told her that she hadn't always been a sheep girl, but had only become one because of Kyle Perkins and the local curse. Now, thanks to her, Jen loved her situation, so much she was offering to share it with her.
Emma didn't really want anything to do with the curse, more now than ever given the recent evidence that it was very real. But at the same time, she couldn't just abandon Jen like that, especially due to her inadvertant part in the situation. She knew she would have to take the risk.
"Jen, I know you don't really want to be a sheep. You only feel that way because the curse made you after what I said. Let me make it up to you. If you give me the curse, I'll change you back, because you hate being a sheep."
"But I don't, E-e-emma! I lo-o-ove it!" Jen was worried that Emma might take her new-found joy from her. "I was ju-u-ust upset at first because I hadn't ha-a-ad a chance to get u-u-used to it, and I thought pe-e-eople wouldn't accept me-e-e. But you do-o-o. Please don't change me-e-e back, Emma-a-a. If you knew wha-a-at this felt like, you'd understa-a-and."
"Alright, Jen. I won't." Emma couldn't think of what to do. Jen did seem happy, but it was the curse not her. She couldn't just stand by and do nothing, but she couldn't force Jen's hand either, it would just make her friend upset. The last thing Jen said stuck in her mind and gave her an idea. It was the only thing she could think of. She wasn't happy about it, but Jen was one of her closest friends, and if that's what she had to do...
"Jen, I'll make you a deal, okay? You think that if I could experience your situation, I'd understand, and I think that if you weren't affected by the spell, you wouldn't want to stay that way. So here's my idea: I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'll let you use the curse to temporarily - and I can't stress that enough, TEMPORARILY - change me into a sheep girl, to see if I can see in it what you do. In exchange, I'll use the obedience curse you're under to make you feel about being a sheep the way you would if you weren't ordered to. I'll even use it to take care of the rest of the curse. After a designated period of time if you still want to stay a sheep girl, I won't try and talk you out of it. But if you don't, I'll use the curse to make you human again. Does that sound fair? Do you agree?"
