There was a knock at the door, but Kyle didn't wake up. His dad, Owen, opened the door and peered in, "Hey, Kyle? Kyle are you in here?" He opened the door further and saw Kyle asleep on the couch. "Oh, never mind, you napping. I'll just..." He stopped when the little wooden box caught his eye. He walked over and examined the small box. "Hey, did you make this during..." Owen turned back to Kyle, "Shop class... right, your asleep."
He popped the top off and saw the left half of the two headed eagle inside. 'Wow!' he thought, 'I never knew he could make something like this!' Owen beamed at his son with pride, 'This thing looks pretty cool!'
Owen saw a small glint near Kyles neck, and decided to take a closer look. He could see that Kyle had an eagle chain around his neck too. 'Huh, did he make two? Do they match?' Owen put the half in his hand next to the one around Kyle, 'Seems like they are two halves of the same whole.'
Owen stood mesmerized by the left half in his hand, something about it captivated his mind, and he couldn't resist trying it on at least once. He watched himself in the mirror as it fell around his neck. 'Hey, looks pretty good!' Owen grinned, 'Maybe he could make me one. Wow! What is that?!' The chain around his neck began to glow, and he felt himself being pulled backwards. He stumbled around the table, trying to stop himself, but couldn't.
He was now standing beside Kyle and doing his best to move away. He was trying to resist as he felt himself being bend forward, down towards Kyle. The chain around Owen's neck was pulled taut, and he could see that the one around Kyle's was too, but being pulled up towards his.
The two halves aligned, and were fused together in a bright blue spark. Before he knew what was happening, Owen was pulled down right beside Kyle. Owen's could feel his right half began to meld with Kyle's left. As their chests became one, Owen watched as his right leg, and Kyle's left soon disappeared as they formed a single waist with two legs. When it was all over, Owen and Kyle were two heads on the same body.
Owen's jaw dropped as he glanced at Kyle, who was still asleep. He couldn't believe Kyle hadn't woken up, or the fact that he and his seventeen year old son were now one body.
