School sucked. Ty knew that with his new powers, he didn't even have to be here, and yet, he really didn't know what else to do. He still felt badly about Rebecca, and he wondered if he even deserved the powers he had. What if he was being tested or something?
He slipped out of school before last hour, he couldn't take any more.
"Ty!"
He blinked, and saw Rebecca run towards him. What the...?!
"Ty it's me, Rebecca, please believe me! I don't know what's happened, I'm a kid again, and it's horrible!"
Oh no, what had he done now? The girl clung to him, crying, which made him feel like a total jerk.
"Rebecca...this is all my fault, I'm so sorry..."
Rebecca was so relieved to have found Ty that it took her a moment to process that. His fault?
"Um, you better explain that. Now."
Ty gulped. "Uh, not here, come on." He led her to some houses being built nearby. A few were mostly finished, and he led her into the open garage.
"I wish we had a couch to sit on."
Rebecca's eyes widened as a comfortable couch simply appeared. "Holy shit...how did you...?"
Ty sat down heavily. "The other day, I found out that whatever I want to happen, happens."
She blinked. "Really? That's awesome!"
He sighed. "Yeah, but it sucks too." And then he explained what had happened.
Rebecca felt betrayed. He'd made her love him? These feelings weren't real? And worse, she really was a kid? So he'd turned her into an adult just to...
"You bastard!" She stood up on the couch and slapped him as hard as she could. Her hand hurt, but it made her feel better.
Ty broke down crying, but not from the blow. He could hear himself saying sorry over and over.
Rebecca looked at him. He looked so pathetic. She couldn't help but feel sorry for him. "Damn it, I still love you!"
"...oh. I can make it stop. I wish..."
She put his hand over his mouth. "Shut up! Don't you dare!"
He blinked. "Huh? But..."
"You moron! I love you right now! Even though you hurt me a lot, I still don't want to lose you!"
"But you only love me because I wanted you to!"
She sat down again. "Fuck. Even though I know it's true, it doesn't change how I feel." She felt close to tears, when a thought came to her.
"Why did you make me love you anyways? You could have just made me want to have sex with you."
Ty frowned. "I don't know, I just wanted you to."
"Why did you turn me back, then?"
"I...I just felt like it was wrong to take advantage of someone I..."
She moved closer to him, kneeling so she could reach his chin and turn him to face her. "You better answer this next question right. Do you love me?"
Ty blinked. He did. He wasn't sure why, but he did. "Uh...yeah. I do."
To his amazement, Rebecca climbed into his lap and kissed him. "Right answer."
"Ah.." She sure didn't kiss like a little girl!
She laughed. "Sorry, didn't think you've had a problem with my age."
"I don't..." Ty blurted out.
"Oh?! You like little girls?" He didn't like the look she gave him one bit.
"Uh...no! I mean....I do, but...not like that..." He stammered, even as her eyes narrowed. "I just like you!"
That rewarded him with a tiny grin. "Oh good, I didn't want my boyfriend to be some kind of freak. Especially when I can feel how hard he is."
"Uh...I can make you older..."
She shook her head. "Believe me, I'd like that, but I'm not sure you should. I mean, sure, you may have changed my brain around, but I'm really just a kid. Is it right to shortcut growing up? And what about my Mom? Argh...this is crazy!"
"Um...so what do we do?"
She sat in his lap, and he put his arms around her. She smelled really nice, and it felt good to be close to her. Ugh, was he really a freak after all?
"I'm not sure. But it feels nice being with you. Say, do you think you could make us live closer together? That way it'll be easier to come see you...the house next to me is empty."
"Oh man, you wouldn't want my foster family to live next to you, trust me."
She turned and faced him. "You're an orphan? You poor thing."
Ty shrugged. "It's not a big deal..."
She put her fingers over his lips. "Stop that. Your life is a big deal to me now, whether we like it or not. So you better tell me everything, buster."
And so he did.
