When Josh arrived, he found Daniel and Alex fighting on the ground. They had dropped the phone, and both were trying to grab it, while pushing the other away.
"Guys! Stop!" Josh had run over and crouched down beside them. He grabbed Daniel's phone, and threw it in his back pocket, and pinned the pair to the ground. They offered little resistance, having no real practice in trying to work together. "Man... If the two of you keep fighting instead of getting along... the rest of your lives is going to suck..." Josh let the words hang there for a moment, realizing what he had just said.
"Wait..." Daniel turned to him and glared, "The rest of our lives?!"
"This is permanent?!" Alex screeched, making Daniel's head jerk away and tugging on Alex. Alex pulled the other way and the two of them would have started fighting again had Josh not be holding them down.
"Well... I mean..." Josh couldn't think of anyway to fix what he had blurted out, "Just... come back to my place. I need to help my brother and dad try to get apart anyways. If you're all together it would make things easier."
"Your brother?!" Daniel shouted.
"And your dad?! They're stuck like this too?!" Alex followed suit. "How long?!"
"...since yesterday..." Josh got up and helped the joined pair to their feet, and helping then wobble back to his car. Even with Josh's help, they still couldn't walk together, and their miss matching legs weren't helping.
