I didn't want to reveal my power to her. Luckily, the cops had not yet seen us. I wished they had to leave the area. I saw one of the cops pick up his radio. He developed a frantic look on his face. I heard him say something that sounded like "We're on the way." He and his partner tore off down the block and turned the corner, having never seen me and my naked psychiatrist.
"That was lucky," she said.
"You have no idea," I said absent-mindedly.
She jolted her head towards me and asked, "What?"
"You have no idea if that's luck," I said. "Maybe there's a huge problem. That's no good."
"Oh," she said, "You're absolutely right. Lucky for us, though."
"Yea, I suppose it was," I said, respecting her assertion. "Look, here's a clothes store. Let's duck in here," I suggested.
"How will you explain this?" she pleaded, trying to hide her tears.
"I have an idea." I just hoped it would work
