Emily could only sit there for a few moments, worrying about what Cara would find. She'd never pried that deeply into her roommate's life, so she honestly didn't know if her roommate had ever shaved or trimmed betwixt her legs. Even if Cara hadn't, would the growth she would find there now be even remotely normal to her? It was a concern that Emily finally had to push from her head, because her imagination was already running wild as to just what her roommate looked like in the buff right now. She blushed and shook her head, gathering up the dishes.
Mercifully enough, their licking of their plates had left Emily with an easy job, and hot soapy water was making short work of the dishes. However she felt a twitching in her ears as she worked, their newly acute hearing picking up on what she quickly realized was Cara in the bathroom.
"Oh, no frigging way," the dark-haired girl murmured. "Absolutely no frigging way."
Emily bit her lower lip, her canines palpable against it as she put away the clean dishes. Her curiosity got the better of her and she wandered over to the couch where she could hear better.
"Mom always said my Italian side would catch up to me, but not like this!"
Emily chuckled inwardly. She felt a bit of pity for her friend, but perhaps also relief that she'd settled on the mundane rather than the supernatural.
"Still, it's kind of.... mmmrrrhhh... oh... that feels weird..."
Emily froze, the mood deadly serious again as she heard her friend give a murmur of what she could only term as a snarl.
"Hhhrr... m-maybe... maybe leave that bit... not... not like Emily would know..."
Emily bit her lip again. She knew what Cara had just found, and her roomate had... liked it? She wasn't sure what to think of that. Obviously what was happening was affecting their minds, their appetites being the most recent example, but how much more?
The sound of running water was a welcome reprieve, drowning out any more sounds of Cara's self-exploration.
Emily knew what she had read about what werewolves looked like the rest of the month. Human, but indelibly wild-looking, and inevitably lean and fit. She'd always thought the notion was somewhat attractive, a sort of animal magnetism even when the werewolves weren't sporting fur. Now that she was experiencing it, she couldn't disagree with her earlier assessments. Her legs and arms had definition now, hints of newfound strength but not grotesquely muscled. Her abdomen was firmer as well, and even her breasts seemed fuller though that was perhaps wishful thinking.
Then again, maybe it wasn't. Emily's ears perked to the sound of the water turning off, and her roommate was ominously quiet as she toweled off. She heard the bathrobe being pulled from the hook, and nervously twirled one of her increasingly wild locks about a finger as the knob turned in the door.
Cara straight from the shower was a striking sight. Her wet hair was slicked back, emphasizing her new widow's peak and pointed ears. Before, her roommate's raven hair had reached just between her shoulders, but Emily now saw it dangling nearly to the small of Cara's back. The girl's cheekbones and brow were prominent, angular, giving her face a predatory look as they presided over lips that seemed just a bit darker, momentarily curling to show a flash of sharper teeth. Thankfully her roommate had the presence of mind to actually tie the robe closed, a worry which had crossed Emily's mind. It was bad enough that the redhead's gaze strayed to Cara's pale skin along the neckline of the robe, which formed rather a wider V than usual, showing a hint of her roommate's now noticeably more bountiful chest.
"So... uh... did you... decide what you wanted to do tonight?" Emily asked, shaking off the burning blush in her cheeks.
