"You can't just leave us like this!" Kyle complained. He attempted to move forward, but Josh wanted to stand where they were. They quickly lost balance, but for a few moments limbs were flailing about in a desperate attempt to stay standing. Like before however, they crashed onto the ground face first. Josh and Kyle glared daggers at each other as they slowly lifted themselves back up.
Standing next to the open door, Owen couldn't help but chuckle to himself. "You guys really do need to work on teamwork. How about this? When I come home at 6:00, I will give one of you a break from being fused." Owen chuckled as he closed the door behind him.
"Now what?" Kyle sighed. "We're stuck like this till Dad comes back home." Kyle messaged his head. He was getting a headache just thinking about all the stuff they would have to do... together. He shuddered when he thought about having to go to the restroom.
Josh was fumming. He had just gotten himself away from his stupid brother, and now he was stuck to him again! Suddenly, a light bulb turned on in his head. Turning his head to face Kyle's, Josh said, "Well, I don't know about you but I do not want to be awake all 6 hours we have to be together. Sleeping is the best way to past the time."
"You would know about that wouldn't you." Kyle smirked.
Josh was about to punch his brother in the face, but he forcibly controlled his impulse. As much as he despised his brother, he needed Kyle to go along with this idea so his plan would work. Besides, trying to beat up his brother while sharing a body with him wouldn't accomplish much. "Just come one." Josh insisted.
"Fine... anything to make this nightmare end faster." Kyle agreed. Working together better, they walked on wobbling legs upstairs. They had a brief argument in the hallway about which bedroom they should nap in, but Josh succeed in convincing Kyle to go in his room. They rolled onto the bed laying down on their back. After several minutes, Josh could hear the soft breathing of his sleeping brother.
"Finally!" Josh whispered. Being careful not to wake Kyle, Josh pulled his chain off his head. Thankfully, Kyle did not notice the small open window in Josh's bedroom. The window had a clear view of their neighbor's back yard; the perfect spot for his chain to be found. Clutching the chain in a tight fist, Josh brought his arm back and threw it will all his strength. The half eagle chain flew through the air and out the window. Smiling, now Josh only had to wait.
