Paul seemed captivated by those huge yellow eyes. Suddenly his sense returned and he found himself standing a few feet away from the monster. As Paul gawked at the cresture, the eyes of this hideous thing watched in silence.
"TELL HUMAN, WHAT THINK OF THE GREAT DEMON WHO STAND'S BEFORE YOU?"
Paul looked at the creature as the word 'Demon' flooded his thoughts. "I know not what to say but am empressed and filled with fear! Why are you chained into the corn there? Oh, and what is this small trough of running water flowing about you island to which you stand?"
"AH, MANY DEEP QUESTIONS! YOU QUESTIONS DESERVE AN ANSWER! HERE REACH OVER THE WATER AND HELP ME ACROSS." beconed the monster in his booming voice.
As Paul reached his hand out toward the creature a voice from behind him yelled, "STOP! Touch him not or your soul be the price and your body be his curse."
Paul turned to see the half horse, half man creature standing in the doorway leading to the car museum.
"You cursed monster, this man suffer's you nothing why pay him ill and make his life like, or worse than mine? See me well their visitor to this museum from the past. I wished to free Zepar too and got away just before he finished his works upon my body. Indeed, had I stood the ground for a few seconds more I'd trod the sod as a horse. He's evil and wishes only to destroy men from accomplishing things of truth and meaning. Now I hide here this animal thing, you might have joined me here or been placed in the stable to die of hunger. He has curse dozens of men and women to live their lives out as beasts." the man thing spoke about the demon.
"Harken not to that fool's words, come give me your hand so I may grant you true understanding of the world's secrets. A grasp of my hand will have your eyes opened, a endowment to new life and a fulfillment like nothing you could have accomplished on your own!" beconed the demon.
Paul started to reach forth his hand in friendship when the man creature behind him yelled, "Jehovah in the highest, tell your plan to the man before his touch if felt!"
The large yellow eyes closed slowly and the monster seemed to drop limp. "Jehovah in the highest, I plan to send this man for wallowing in a sty. He is to know his past and realize his present. As a swine he shall live, eat, and sleep. As a boar he shall be driven by the beastly instincts to mount and mate. As a human mind locked in the beast he shall cry for help, but his touch will stripp the grace of God from him and his life shall be all boar!" the demon spouted and as he finished his eyes reopened.
"Damn you! I told him what was in store!" cried the demon Zepar.
Paul pulled his hand back and stepped backwards to be nearer the one who saved him from doom.
The strange man-horse creature smiled at Paul. "You are better to leave that casterated demon to stand till eterity in that corner as Mister Malstrom have once planned. The one man who tricked a demon to desire what it could not have, then when he was beyond the blessed water a man trapped him! A man did it, a man trapped the evil Zepar!"
"TRAPPED I AM BUT SOME DAY A FOOL SHALL COME CLOSE AND I'LL USE HIS BODY TO BE MY BRIDGE. WATCH AND SEE, TIME IS COMING WHEN AN EVIL MAN SHALL OFFER ME FREEDOM AND I SHALL RAKE THE EARTH WITH PAIN AND SUFFERING. THOSE FEW WHO I SENT TO EXHILE AS ANIMALS WILL BE JUST THE START OF THINGS. I SHALL TRICK THE SCIENTIST TO MAKE ORGANISMS WHICH SHALL ATTACK THE BODY AND THE MIND. THE EVOLUTION SHALL TAKE PLACE AND I WILL STAND BACK AS HUMANITY GROVELS DOWN INTO THE BEAST ONCE AGAIN. SEE MY PLAN, WATCH MY WILL, THOSE HUMANS ARE NO MATCH FOR ME! I'VE LIVED BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME AND SHALL LIVE PAST IT'S END. NOW THE TIME COMES WHEN PAUL MONTINERO SHALL SEE THIS COME TO PAST. YOU HAVE ESCAPED ME TODAY PUT I CAN SEE THE FUTURE. TIME SHALL COME WHEN YOU SHALL STAND FOR SLAUGHTER AND REMEMBER THIS DAY!" with that curse his eyes closed and the monster went to sleep.
Come Paul, come with me!" beconed the horse-man.
Walking to the museum Paul looked at the man. "Please let me say thank you for saving me from that demon. I think he might have the power to make me a hog!" said Paul.
"Now he does but it's funny, as the demon resides on eart in a physical form he has such powers. Yet once he returns to his side of time his powers are lost and he wails about as a casterated stallion made gelding. The demons have only the powers to play in men's minds, to that the great Jehovah has locked them up. We can only hope that their power never comes back and soon they shall be cast into that lake of fire they so much deserve!"
Paul thanked the man and walked for the door to stand outside. A waive of friendship to the horse-man, and as paul passed the windows near to Zepar he knocked on the glass. The large yellow eyes opened to see his next victim, as Paul pressed his hand to the glass. One finger raised from the center of his fist told the demon just what Paul thought of him. A growl of disgust was given the man's blessing in phrase, "F.O. ZEPAR !" After which Paul walked out and around the side of the barn. Inside the museum laughter and continued repeat of Paul's final words echoed about.
