That night as you slept, you began to dream. Initially, things start out pretty non-descript with you hunting around for fish and generally exploring the area. Another scene features you struggling to swim away from Red Bellied Piranha's and giant fish. Sometime later, you're swimming into the depths of the river and come across one of your own kind who leads you to a lost civilisation who accept you into their community.
Your eyes snap open and you find yourself back in the cave. You look down at your hands and see that you still are the real Creature from the Black Lagoon. You experience a brief pang of despair as you gaze upon your webbed hands which was then followed by calm acceptance. You wonder whether you want to just leave it and live out what amounts to being a secret dream of yours for the rest of your life. After all, you have dreamed about becoming the creature on numerous occasions and only now are you able to live out that dream of yours. You may never get an opportunity like this again. You'd effectively have a fresh start in life away from the stresses and daily petty concerns of the human race.
On the other hand, you knew you had to find a way to reverse your transformation as you had family and friends in your human life. Worse still though, you didn't immediately know what to do. People don't just turn into fictional monsters like that. As bizarre as the situation feels, you feel lost.
